Not really my type of figure, but I would buy them if they were ever re-done and released in Classics Style.

Maybe a good idea for a future Botcon set.

Shame that these aren't that accurate to the show, especially Chase, hope they'll redo them later on. :-?

Never saw Chase, Blades, or Boulder in my area -- granted I totally forgot about looking for them, and they are a bit young for my tastes.

Hope to see Classic or even Prime versions of these bots down the road, especially Boulder; always love to see more construction vehicles.

I've been looking and I've never seen Boulder or Blades. Managed to find Chase in what appeared to be a very limited release. Stores are clogged with Prime and Bee though.

If they're still making these by the time I have kids, they're totally getting them. 8)

Hot Shot had Jolt. Bumblee has a Helicopter. Coincidence? I think not.

I wish the cartoon was more accurate to this style.

Blades showed up in bulk at Walmarts a few weeks before Christmas. One of my local Walmarts had about 20 or 30 Blades sitting on a shelf. I didn't realize he was that difficult to find ... went back there after Christmas and they were all long gone.

Boulder was available through HasbroToyShop.com around Black Friday, and showed up at some Targets up until Christmas.

Haven't seen anything but wave 1 since Christmas.

I think it's just coincidence. But if you really want to connect the lines, you could even go as far to say that both are an homage to Action Master Bumblebee from 1990, who came with ... a heli-pack. Really think it's just a coincidence though. Kids like Bumblebee. Kids like Helicopters. It's a good fit. Plus it gives kids more to expand upon imagination wise ... now a toy that was previously grounded as a car now has flight capabilities.

Not my cup of tea but I will say this though...This guys look so much more cooler than Robot Heroes. I would sooner buy this guys rather than Robot Heroes. But then again my budget is tight so...Yeah...xD~

And that's why the Transformers brand is so awesome at this stage ... there's literally something for everyone. You want high end pieces like Masterpiece Convoy ... there you go. You want kiddie Transformers for your kids ... here you go. Want toys that look pretty darn close to their big screen counterparts ... here's some for you. Want toys that look like their small screen cartoon counterparts ... here you go. Want reissues of the original toys ... that's what the reissues are for. Like oddball collectibles like Bot Shots or the Japanese imported Kabaya kits ... there's something for those types of collectors. Want updated versions of the classic Transformers toys ... that's what Classics Universe Generations is for.

Sure as heck beats getting 20 to 30 Transformers per year like we did throughout the 90s.

A routine patrol with four bots in stasis
Years later awoke in the strangest of places.
Earth was their home now and in addition

Optimus Prime... gave them this mission:

"Learn from the humans, serve and protect,
Live in their world,
earn their respect.
A family of heroes will be your allies
To others remain robots in disguise!"
RESCUE BOTS, roll to the rescue!
Humans in need, heroes indeed!
RESCUE BOTS, roll to the rescue!
RESCUE BOTS!

With Cody to the guide them and show them the way,
Rescue Bots will be saving the day!
RESCUE BOTS, roll to the rescue!
RESCUE BOTS!

I. LOVE. THIS. SHOW!!!!!!! Rescue Bots > Prime all the way! :KREMZEEK: :KREMZEEK: :KREMZEEK: :KREMZEEK:

Though, can't say the same for the toys. Man, I wish these had more articulation. I really do hope that we later get soem Deluxe class figures of the four main characters. but that hasn't stopped me form getting all six figures. :D

Well, all except for one. I STILL CAN'T FIND BOULDER!!!

It's a good cartoon for a children's cartoon. I still think it would be more interesting if they had Decepticons in it somehow, especially if this is supposed to somehow fit within the larger storyline somehow.

None on eBay right now ... but I'd keep an eye on Targets since they're the chain that had them at Christmas time. I also think it's a safe bet that these will end up in bulk later down the road since there were no new Rescue Bots on display at Toy Fair. I'm assuming they'll just keep knocking these same kiddie toys out for a while.

Very nice galleries, and these look fun! Although I can't say I'm a big fan of the packaging (or lack thereof).

EDIT: One complaint... No pictures of Grimlock riding Optimus Primal? :P that aside, there DOES seeem to be a thing on his beast mode back (right on the robot mode head, actually) where the little human figures they make for the Rescue Bots line are meant to ride.

Great flicks; I am glad I scooped up Blades and Heatwave when I did.
Got to admit, Grimlock riding this dino mode OP is a pretty awesome idea.

Heatwave really sucks! We bought him yesterday, took him back today and got little man another one. Got home and opened him up. Broke on the 2nd transformation. Again.. Must be a design defect, that they obviously should have caught but, regardless. Save your self the headache. The Prime is pretty kool though. :BOT:

I ordered one online and I'm expecting it soon... Where/how did he break? I'd like to kow what to watch out for.

He's basically a one step Transformation. You Split his head and neck apart and as you pull them all the way down to make his arms his legs come down from the rear underneath the front legs to make up the Bot legs. And then you can flip his tail down.
It has one screw which doesn't help so I can't even open it to see what broke. I handed it to my son, and no lie. 10 seconds later he hands it back to me broken. Twice! And the second time I know he was being extremely careful.
:-? It's really frustrating. :BOT:

It does break a lot.
I figured out the fix, and so it's not so bad.
If your dino doesn't want to close the head, and the feet no longer move when closing the arms...

Last resort:
1. Tilt the head / torso forward (or use button)
2. Close the arms to form the head (now has clearance)
3. Force the legs down to the standing position until you hear a snap.

That should hook the legs back into the head mechanism. Happy camping.
I assume this "break" can happen if you tried to push the legs up with the arms open or something.
