Found a MIB MP-10 Prime at a local toy shop. It's pricey at $300.00 but I could probably talk them down a little. Is MP-10 Prime that big of an upgrade over the original MP Prime and is it worth the money?

Thanks all

If that's US dollars, that asking price is too high. I got mine for $200 shipped, but it was a sale. You can do better than $300 either way, though.

As for the second part of your question, it's going to be a matter of personal preference. I think the original looks better in bot mode, myself.

The suggested retail price for MP-10 Prime is about $275,-, so that store isn't overcharging by much.
As for its pros and cons over the original MP, consider the following;

He's about 70% the size of MP-1 Prime, for a higher cost. Although that smaller size makes him scale better with MP Rodimus, Grimlock and the Seekers, Megatron will tower over him. Many people consider him a good scale for their Classics/Generations figures.

Also keep in mind that this figure includes his trailer with combat deck and roller. MP-4 also includes a trailer (minus Roller) and it adds to his price considerably.

IMO, the head and torso shape doesn't look as good as MP-1 does, but that's a matter of taste and which look is the definitive G1 Prime for you.

Construction quality and transformation are about on par, and the poseability is slightly improved.

That's still too much.

CapturedPrey has it for $245
BBTS has it for $250
RobotKingdom has it for $228

Don't pay $300 for it...unless of course that's not US currency.

Well, he also needs to figure in shipping, it might be worth getting at the local shop just to avoid that cost/delay.
