Hasbro's Official Transformers website has launched their Bot Shots online battle game. At the moment it's a little bare bones with many of the features labeled "Coming Soon May 2012", but the actual game is available. Digging a little deeper into the game the connection between the figures and the online battle game is revealed. Sometime between now and May when the the game is fully launched the figures will start coming packed with a 14 digit code. That number can be redeemed on the website for Energon, which can in turn used to purchase items in the Bot Shop. The codes that come with the chase figures are worth more Energon and unlock exclusive battle arenas.

On the top bar with Autobot and Decepticon bios, why is Prime Soundwave called Shockwave?

Fists beat swords, and swords beat guns? WTF?

Sometime between now and May when the the game is fully launched the figures will start coming packed with a 14 digit code.

So everyone who bought the figures early is punished for doing so? Another WTF. Didn't they do any planning for this?

Sometimes it seems like Hasbro's business strategy is "throw everything you can think of at the wall and see what sticks". How else do you explain Bot Shots, Cyber Slammers, Stealth Force, Speed Stars, etc.?

I think it's really sad the two highest ones on the leader boards have 1975 and 1973 for their numbers. OK, maybe it's not fair to assume those were the years they were born. Still, I'm willing to bet they're not born after 1994. Like, this thing is for kids, go play something else.
