Finding good comparison pictures of the Hasbro vs Takara Bulkhead is difficult for some reason (mainly b/c I don't think Ryan has done them yet).
So, here's some...keep your junk off the glass.
(I did the lighting as bright as it is to replicate the way light hits the character models in the show.)

Nice photos! I prefer the Takara figure. The shinier paint seems to look more like a CGI model/figure.

Prime is in the mail, he's next.
I have the Takara version at the moment.

Very nice picture dude! Yeah, the Takara version is more darker and shinier. It's also more expensive. I think. If it's not and you have to pay the same overall price for the Hasbro version, why bother? Just get Shiny Bulky.
Anyway, I was lucky enough to find the Hasbro version in store for 30$+tax and he go very well with Animated Voyager Bulkhead.
I don't feel the need to get the Takara version.

Nice comparisons bud. I'm going with the Takara voyagers. I just think they look much nicer and worth the extra IMO. The deluxes, I'm likely going with Hasbro. Unless Takara pulls out all the stops that is. That doesn't really look like the case though. I'm really hoping Takara does something amazing with the voyager Megatron.

Nice post man. I really like the Takara version but I think I'm going to stick wit the Hasbro version strictly bc of screen accuracy.

Thanks for that CP. I really like the Takara Bulkhead - I got him for my Classics shelf. Someone needs to make an arm cannon for him.

Interesting contrast when you consider the differences between the Animated Hasbro and Takara Bulkheads.
Both versions look sweet, actually.

I love seeing these comparisons between the two releases, fom whichever line.
Nice work CP

I really am on the fence about these, I love the paintwork on the Takara one, but the Hasbro (which in own) seems more screen accurate.
I'm not sure I can justify the extra cash for shiny paint

The shiny paint one might be cheaper after the 'Bro canceled the non-shiny.
That Windcharger looks sweet. Too bad we'll probably never see it at retail in the US...and I can't bring myself to pay import prices for figs that will ultimately just end up in a box in my closet. Display space is limited and Prime figs surely wouldn't make the cut.

Actually, that's Cliffjumper, not Windcharger.
Anyway, the Takara version looks far, far superior. As usual.
However, the Hasbro version looks bitchin' compared to the RID version they've put out. I personally don't mind the Prime RID figures-in fact, in some ways I prefer them to the First Editions, but the new Bulkhead is utter toilet.
Most of my attention, however, was on the Japanese girl on Counterpunch's signiature (who is probably easier to obtain than Takara First Edition Bulkhead).

^ lol.
Nice figures, nice pics! I'm glad I got the Hasbro one, Takara's green is a bit too dark for my taste.
