Curious to know, should I wait for the prices to come down like some of the movie line or should I get them while they are hot? I saw a few characters I am intersted in getting but held off due to cost 26 dollars for Voyager and 12 dollars for Deluxes. Thoughts?

I saw the Voyagers for $20 at Target yesterday.

I say buy them now so you dont to buy them later.
Of course you could wait a little more if want to pay less.

Due to Soundwave being notoriously hard to find (and I wanted it pretty badly, since no dotm Deluxe Soundwave for us), I grabbed one at Target last week as soon as I saw it. I've been to a few other stores since (two Walmarts, a Kmart, and a TRU) and haven't seen any other Soundwaves (and NO Arcees), while I've seen multiple Cliffjumpers and Ratchets.

In short, if there's one you REALLY want, grab it. If nothing jumps out at you as being amazing, then feel free to wait.

Pay now or (maybe) pay more later.

What are you waiting for - a sale so you can save a few dollars?

They basically started selling these, so waiting for price reduction is gonna be a while. The only one to sit on is probably Bumblebee.

If I collect this line (big if at the moment due to space), I'm going to wait for the next TF Movie line to come out so I can go back and start getting the Prime line loose/complete. I may pay more for some of the rarer guys, but most of wave 1, 2 and 3 should be decently priced...

Think yourself lucky at those prices as here in the U.K. just replace the Dollar sign for a Pound sign!
I would buy multiples if I could get them for Dollar price rather than Pound!

The RID stuff is ridiculously easy to get at Target. Check the site online and search your local stores. If they say they're in stock take note of the DPCI number. Go to your store and see if they're on shelves. If so, great! Mission accomplished. If not, punch in the DPCI number in the nearest price scanner. If will tell you if there are more in the stock room. If so, find yourself the nearest helpful looking employee and explain that you want to buy an item that the system says is in stock but not on the sales floor. They SHOULD be helpful and get you your swag. If not, speak to a manager. They'll help you. I got Soundwave last night fresh from a case that looked like he was packed one per. I say looked, I couldn't tell for certain. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I didn't need any of the others so I didn't really think twice about it. Anyway, go on and get your toys already!

How much of a drop are you looking for? I mean, you could always wait for a sale but in terms of them dropping below $10 regular price, I think you're in for a long wait, if that even happens.

The prices won't "come down". There will be sales from time to time, but then you run the risk of not finding the figure you want. If there's one lesson I've learned from collecting, it's this: If you find a figure you want, buy it immediately.

I can't really find PRID around me. I found more of them in a single Walmart in Orlando, FL. then I have in 2 Target's, 2 Walmart's and a Kmart near me.

Pretty sad really.

Had I more space in my luggage I would have picked them up in Florida, but I didn't so I'm just going to have to stalk stores near me and see what happens in the coming weeks. Can't say I'm too hyped though. If I find them, great, if I don't, well, I'll have money for tin toys and other things.



But as for buying, if it's not Bee and you have the money at that given moment, buy the figure. I've long learned that if I don't buy figures I really want when I see them, I have a high risk of never seeing them again Missed a bunch of Animated figures that way >.<

I'm going to go against the grain and say wait. I can't even tell you how much I could have saved over the last few lines not getting the crap the second I see it. If you can wait, do it. I don't see the PRID line becoming a rare, hot commodity any time soon. If not a good store sale, there'll probably be a decent sale with free shipping on HTS BotCon weekend, if not sooner.

The more rare figures like Soundwave you may want to get now. There's no garuntee you'll still see them on shelves later. A mistake I took with plenty of Thundercracker incardinations.

use to wait for prices to drop but then there is a risk you will not find the toys you want. if it is in your budget/price range BUY IT NOW. worse case return it within 30 days if you buy from target, walmart, or kohls. otherwise don't regret if you cannot find it at a price you are willing to pay.

Sometimes you can save some money if you want, but I've learned, if I want it, I might as well get it when I see it, a few bucks be damned.

Bottom line, if you want it...get it. Or else get raped on Ebay. I;m sure we've all seen that one figure we want in the stores. It's been on the shelf for weeks. You finally decide you want to get it...and it's gone. Last one too.

Then you goto Ebay, and the price is ridiculous.

That's when you kick yourself.
