Looking at the two of these together, Takara on the left, Hasbro on the right, which do you think looks better?

It's kinda hard to say, I'm more partial to the darker yellow on TakaraTomy, but the Hasbro yellow also has its charm. How do the shades compare with other Bumblebee figures?

I prefer the darker, less transparent yellow of the Takara one.

I prefer the Hasbro yellow tone,it looks overall better. It has more contrast with the other parts. Both are good.

As usual the Takara version is much, much better than Hasbro's IMO.

Just out of interest how do they compare to the new TF Prime RID version?

The RID version is somewhere between the two, but looks awful in its own way by not matching the yellow paint to the yellow plastic.

The Takara FE BB is straight up more show accurate. The Hasbro version has a hint of transparency to the plastic.

Thanks man.

Sure thing. You know me, I'm just bluntly honest about this stuff. I don't fanboy for Takara or Hasbro. It's just whichever is actually better.

Well it is Prime BB so I could honestly care less because nothing short of being a completely different character would make me like him. For the sake of an opinion of which here is better though... well I'm still kinda annoyed by a color argument about shades of yellow that I've been in recently, so I'll say the Hasbro version looks better.

The darker one looks a little better, but based solely on that photo, not different enough to worry about.

Is there a similar pic of them in alt mode? That might make a difference.

Not bad. I can go for either one. FE's are in demand just the price is too high, but probaly worth the prucahse in the end.

Is the color of the Comic Com Bumblebee close to the Takara one? I am not allowed to open the set because it has Pink Arcee in it so says my wife.

I have the Hasbro version which I just noticed looks very similar in color to the g1 reisse Bumblebee that came in that last takara reissue mini con 4pack. That would usually be enough for me to go with the Hasbro FE, but it's just so dang pale. Very plain and weak feeling.

I agree as someone stated before that the lighter color affords more contrast, but it just really lacks pop for me, and it is a sports car afterall. I wonder if the actual plastic itself hurts the appearance of the color. Folks also have been mentioning translucency...is it really, I'm not seeing that, but at the same time,I know what they're talking about...weird.?

I'm honestly impartial for the most part... though I think I like the contrast of the Hasbro version a tad more.

Side by side the takara one looks better, but on its own, you won't notice the difference.

I'd take either of them if the other alternative was RID Bumblebee. But between the two FE's, I prefer Takara's richer, more screen accurate tone.

I prefer the Hasbro's one caused that's the one I've gotten.. Haha.

Truth be told I don't mind either, both of them has something the other don't; so to me I guess they're equal.

It's like my FE Takara and Hasbro Arcee, no difference to me whatsoever, just that the Takara's blue is more 'deep' bu Hasbro's blue is not that bad either, all the paint apps are intact. Now if we're talking about FE Starscream..

Hey Freaky, what about Starscream is there really a big difference? I painted the missils and head crest on my hasbro and think it looks pretty complete now. He's one of my favorite characters and was considering the Takara but havent seen anything really showing a big difference.
Thanks.

I haven't watched the show at all so I don't know how much it factors in, but just looking at the two, the one on the left, apparently the Takara version, looks better.

The Takara version of Starscream is different but less show accurate.

aesthetically the Takara I feel is superior
however i got my FE Hasbro toy as part of a BOGO50% at TRU so the difference would have to be huge for me to import the Takara version
i think i will like mine even more once i get my micron arms in

Yea, the upgrade would be hard to justify in that instance...
