With all the news flying about lately with what'll be the next Transformer line/figures etc, I've decided to throw caution to the wind and announce a few predictions for the next lot of Transformers. Sorry to all the people in Takaraland for ruining what might've been your 30th anniversary plans...
Masterpiece:
MP 10 North American release, that goes without saying. Minus his Lunchbox.
MP 10 Ultra Magnus (as above)
MP F15 Starscream. Somebody obviously gets a surge just thinking of the guy. And if we don't already have enough variations of the F15 mould, expect F22 movie colored regular and tattooed versions with moustache man pilot.
MP Seekers. Sunstorm's on the way. Acidstorm, Brainstorm, Snowstorm and Shitstorm will soon follow.
Generations:
Kup repainted as Orion Pax.
Ironhide/Ratchet to Trailbreaker.
Sideswipe to Breakdown. (remember, Thundercracker and Thrust from Botcon also got mass released versions)
Starscream to Skywarp. (Forget buying Henkei. Be patient.See above)
Starscream to Sunstorm.
Hound to Swindle.
Wildrider to well, Wildrider.
Inferno to Hot Spot.
G1. Encore. Hasbro Reissue: (Possible 30th anniversary)
Don't buy ridiculously overpriced originals. They have the moulds now, just wait for them to pop up through TRU or Encore:
Metroplex to Metrotitan.
(combiners to possibly be released individually to inspire "collect 'em all!"
Constructicons repainted in G2 Yellow, Orange and Diaclone.(Takara Gift Set)
Combaticons.
Hound.
Thrust, Dirge and Ramjet. (utilising new safety compliant weapons)
United Megatron and another G1 Prime for 30th Anniversary set.
Movie G1 MP Starcream's on the way, which opens the door for Movie G1 inspired Skywarp and Thundercracker.

Classics skywarp already HAS a toy... it came out in 2006, in a 2 pack with ultra magnus.

Kup to Orion pax, highly unlikely, considering they are already making tailgate (who's also red) out of kup for the classics-verse. Made by hasbro, for end of this year, albeit its only going to be sold in Asia.
Takara is also planning on doing MP-10 ultra magnus, with a full body armour. That's probably coming out before hasbro gets their MP ultra magnus out, since all the MP designs are created by takara.
Inferno to hot spot is already confirmed, albeit its part of the asia-only classics verse later this year.

I think that Superion would be most likely here, as 2 of the Aerialbots were already in WFC, thus are already designed. Though I think that 2-3 of the Stunticons were in the Game Boy versions, so who knows there...
My prediction for combiners? Classics molds that are compatible with FoC Bruticus.

I'm aware of that. I own them too. But ask yourself, when has a toy having an already produced figure stopped it from being repainted? Classics Starscream anyone? Skywarp won't be any different
Kup to Orion pax, highly unlikely, considering they are already making tailgate (who's also red) out of kup for the classics-verse. Made by hasbro, for end of this year, albeit its only going to be sold in Asia.
Asia pacific doesn't necessarily mean it won't happen. If they've got a character that was a result of a repaint as was Pax's case, thye'll use it. More than likely in the United range. They're recycling figures from previous incarnations to make up numbers, so it isn't impossible to assume they wouldn't.Takara is also planning on doing MP-10 ultra magnus, with a full body armour. That's probably coming out before hasbro gets their MP ultra magnus out, since all the MP designs are created by takara.
Hasbro won't invest in the battle armour for it's North American markets, just like they did with Rodimus. So we'll probably get a plain-jane white Magnus. Or they'll just stick a cardboard trailer in the box to keep the $$$ down. Then there's the Nemesis repaints *yawn* and finally a Final Shot-Nemesis-Ghost-Sleep Mode, with matrix accessory. Inferno to hot spot is already confirmed, albeit its part of the asia-only classics verse later this year.

One down.

Wildrider to well, Wildrider.
Inferno to Hot Spot.
Ironhide/Ratchet to Trailbreaker imo would and should never happen, anyway isnt said to keep an eye on hasbro for a new Trailbreaker?.
I personaly hope theres not another seeker repaint i have 9 already.
Hound to Swindle i cant see that happening with the FOC Swindle on its way.
Wildrider would be nice from hasbro ive got the KO but a new paint scheem would be nice.

Hound into Swindle was actually an entry in that proposed list of BotCon figures. It's SG Swindle however.

Oops, was thinking of a custom TFP cliffjumper at that time, hence tailgate...

Hound also made it to botcon with a very Swindle-esq colour scheme as Turbomaster...

I'm really curious what special releases they will do for the 25th Anniversary.
No doubt there be a few figures released paying homage to G1. Hopefully this means the season 1 cast will get some more classics figures?
It would probably be too much to dream they could finish off the entire season 1 cast, but at least the Ark crew?
Would love Trailbreaker, Brawn, and Gears. I wonder if they will ever attempt Refelctor and Insecticons since 3rd parties beat them to it?

Transformers started in 1984, so the 25th anniversary has long past (in 2009). The next one is the 30th, in 2014, so one is indeed coming up.
