Should I buy this Shockwave?

G1 shockwave in great condition, but the tip of his left arm cannon is broken.
This seems like a common break after searching ebay and noticing a lot of Shockwaves with that same piece broken. At least this Shockwave has a perfect rubber cord with no dryrot.
The guy wants $90 but I'm having trouble justifying the price for a broken toy.
I do like avoiding ebay though whenever possible.
Need some opinions please.

Don't buy a 90$ broken toy. Never.

Thank you, I needed a voice of reason.
Now let this post drop to the bottom.

I bought the re-issue G1 Shockwave for 90$ BRAND NEW. Unfortunately, the rubber hose was quick to dry and split open.

Shockwave was never reissued. Sounds like you got a Chinese bootleg, sweetie.

What he said. You were ripped off with a knockoff.

I don't really think I was ripped off. Even if the hose dried out, that bootleg feel just like the real thing. Sturdy plastic, same light and sound, diecast, transform like a charm, perfect box and manual.
Hey, a beat-up G1 Shocky goes for more than 100$ so I'm very glad to have that "knock-off" who feel like the real thing! If it's okay to spend hundreds for 3rd party product what's wrong whit buying this?
Appart from the false advertisment, that is.

As long as you are happy. Personally 90 bucks is too much for me to spend on a knock off when for another $50 you could have probably gotten the real thing maybe even less after checking the completed listings on ebay.

$90? No way! You could buy a really big hat for that much!

On Topic: 90$ may be a good buy for an original G1 Shocky, but depends how much the arm cannon is broken (only the tip or the whole thing), whether it has any of the accesories (for that much, the gun barrel and battery cover needs to be added, any of the paperworks/box is a plus)

I saw that this post got some responses and wanted to inform you that I did in fact buy the Shockwave, and I have no regrets. It's in superb condition, and the break is clean and unnoticeable to an untrained eye. The electronics were really clean as well, with no cracks or dry rot on the cable. Also, after seeing what some junkier ones had sold for on ebay, I decided to to it, and skip on shipping. Came with a perfect battery cover too which does seem to sell for almost $50 occasionally. I'm happy. He's loud. I was really taken back after reuniting with this guy after so many years, and I remembered that my cousins broke my Shockwave on Christmas day in the exact same spot.
