Yea, you read that title right, a Finish indi game developer is auctioning of his entire Transformers collection to raise funds start his own company.
He's doing this due tot he fact that due to living in finland, he has no access to the popular fundraiser Kickstarter.

The collection is comprised of G1 figures, including rare European variants, and and if bought will earn the buyer a mention in the credits of Zorg Entertainment's (that'S what he wants to call his company) first game, a futuristic racing game ala F-Zero.

So if you're interested in seeing the auction or, well buy the collection you can click here or any of the following images.

Won't Hasbro kill it? With all the legal action going on I doubt this is a smart move.

It is possible, but I doubt it. If he was trying to make a game based on TFs I would say yes. Honestly, Indie game developers don't make the kind of money that say, an online retailer makes selling third party companies make selling third party figures. IMHO this is a small fry to Hasbro. I wish the guy luck and hope his game does well.

Don't think he is making a TF game, just selling off his TFs to start his own game company.

Why? He's just selling his collection to fund his own company, he's not doing anything illegal.

It's a nice collection, but I don't think it's worth $6,000. $3,000 or $4,000, tops.

My mindset is completely wrong here. I was totally convinced that he's was going to develop a TF game, which he isn't.

Derp.

I'm a little surprised this is "news". This isn't something that we usually put out there...

I'm not 100% sure how eBay works as far as selling stuff is concerned, but I'm almost positive he'd make more money if he'd sell off his collection individually or in smaller chunks (or a combination of the two). I don't think I've ever seen huge collections like that ever sell.

I saw one about 8 or 9 years ago sell for over 10k.. But it was a rare occasion.. A few large collections like this have popped up here and there but have not fetched the scratch..
If I ever had to sell my G1 collection (pretty much complete all figs from 84-89) I don't have the foggiest of were I would sell it or how much I would ask..

Damn that's quite a collection. Have any of you funded any games with Kickstarter? I am amazed that Shadowrun meet their goal within the first 28 hours. I funded the Replay's Leisure Suit Larry game but since support has slowed down.

You're right. I pulled the story since the collection isn't really anything out of the ordinary and I think it's overpriced at $6k. Maybe $3k max as a lot, but not $6k. Maybe pieced out with detailed pics of each toy it could be worth $6k, but not as a lot.
