Haven't been here for a while........ Is this true?

Hey hi everyone.

I have not been here for a little while.

I heard this and wondering if it's true and why?

Has Dark Of The Moon Soundwave been cancelled?

So there will be no figures of him at all to buy? Cripes!!!!!!!!!

Why did Hasbro do this? What would they rather put out another bloody Optimus Prime or Bumble variation?

This sucks if it's true

Deluxe and HA versions were cancelled for the U.S. market, but technically there is one version you can get in the U.S.: Cyberverse Legion.

Hasbro has claimed that they will look for other ways to get those figures out, so maybe they could be released later.

For completion, here are the Dark of the Moon figures that were canceled for the US, but were still released in Japan:

- Deluxe Leadfoot (no Target logo or sponsors)
- Deluxe Soundwave
- Human Alliance Soundwave
- Wheeljack (Autobot Que)

The Trilogy Series has also been canceled, except the Deluxe Prime with trailer.

Did anyone actually fork over $30 for this? It looks craptastic to put it kindly.

Btw, JohnOfTardis67...thanks for posting. Don't be a stranger!

Quite a few collectors have, between here and TFW. Pictures I've seen show the trailer as being a hollowed out piece of plastic. Prime's painted nicely, but the figure itself sucks, has a ginormous backpack.

I had wanted it for FE Prime to use as a trailer, but it's too small for him. Overall, it's out of scale, not the greatest, and seems to be a waste of time.

I really have no reason to buy it.

Thanks.

Well if those figures have been cancelled in the USA it looks like we in Australia won't get them in any hurry. IF at all.....

Did Hasbor give any real reasons why they got canned?

That is the one figure I did want and now it's canned, Fantastic Hasbro you suck balls... There is the Takara version I suppose but it's pricey. And from the youtubes I have seen the paint job is pretty bland, no silver like the real car but dull boring grey..

I bought the deluxe Prime with the trailer. The trailer goes perfect with either TFP Deluxe Prime or Voyager DOTM Prime with minor modifications.

I bought it. I reviewed it. Short version: The trailer is a bit of a joke, but I am a sucker for Primes with trailers, so what are you going to do?

Anyone here bought Takara's deluxe Leadfoot, Que, or Soundwave? Been thinking about getting Soundwave, but Que and Leadfoot look way out of my price range.

Haha that's actually what I had thought when I first heard this news....

I wonder what the actual reason was? Is Hasbro in financial poo?

I bought all three. Each of them tend to have some flaws, but overall, excellent figures. Que really stands out. He might look ugly, but in person, a fantastic figure.

Soundwave's relatively cheap. Leadfoot pops up on BBTS and TFSource from time to time. Que's the only problem, pricewise.

More like America is in financial poo.

I've got Hasbro's Soundwave. Yep, Hasbro did produce them, albeit in very limited stock. Found mine in a magazine stand in Hong Kong's airport. He was the only TF, along with Bumblebee. On 1st glace I mistook him for sideswipe, and put him back on the shelf. Then I realized my mistake and paid for it.

Cool. I just ordered a Hasbro Soundwave off eBay for $34 (including shipping). That's worth it to me but I don't think I can justify the $100 + I've seen for Leadfoot and Que, as much as I'd love to have them.

I know! His price is outrageous! I've balanced on the pinnacle of getting him a few times, but just couldn't justify paying that much.

And as I pointed out in another thread, Que was the one that it seemed everyone was complaining about initially, in terms of his goofy looking head mold. And yet the two more likely to be in demand figures, Soundwave and Leadfoot are both available and affordable. I can't figure that one out. :???:

Perhaps it's a simple thing of quantity? Soundwave seems to be a character that would sell well, while Que and Leadfoot are characters most kids wouldn't know or recognize because they aren't in the shows (Que as Que, not Jack). Soundwave has been in every cartoon since the franchise got a boost from the movies, no? And he was in two of movies as well (even if he had small roles). Perhaps Hasbro realized this and when they saw the line was failing (or gave up caring) did not produce as many Leadfoot's and Que's as they had Soundwave's.

Just a theory.

TF source has Leadfoot for $47. Much better than EBay prices. ;) (Still not worth it to me)

Is it my imagination or does Leadfoot look a lot like Topspin?

Is the same mold being used?

Are you looking at the right mold? Leadfoot is squat with wide hips and a big gut made from the hood of his alt mode, just like in the movie. Topspin's pretty tall and slender looking.

Their car modes however look alike in the sense they're both armed and most importantly, are in fact the same model: the Chevy Impala.

I meant the car mode
