Greetings fellow Transformers nerds!

I really dig the japanese brand of tf.
Takara really pulls some jerky manuvers with DOTM re-releasing the buster prime and jetfire? What does this have anything to do with DOTM? An ok reissue it, but how about the shadow command megatron reissue?
Its like when they released the dmk. Reports coming into the sites of die cast limited edition. Well not so going to release it later for more money? And I see now the limited da-15 jet power prime is being reissued in 2014?

I really dig takara's toys. But business practice is really questionable? Or If they need help with the english get help.
Is this just the way it is .or do they really need help.

tough love takara

So you're getting frustrated because they're re-releasing popular toys that still sell well?

Why?

How is it "jerky" to release lots of cool products?

It's supply and demand. Takara is just getting more money out of some great and popular molds because they know they will sell.

Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. It's better than them ignoring the demand and forcing everyone to go to ebay etc. to pay an even higher price for a figure that's no longer being produced.

I personally LOVE it when Has/Tak do stuff like this, and wish they'd do it more frequently. There's tons of toys that are extremely popular from the past several lines that never got produced in numbers sufficient to meet consumer demand and that's a shame.

Well, unless you are a scalper or a jerk, you would have no problems with toys being re-released, especially if most collectors would not have gotten takara ones the 1st time round due to short supply.

Why would they need help with English? It's not the language spoken of their primary market.

Unless you are someone buying Transformers with the hopes of making a profit later down the line, reissues are great. If there were no re-issues the toy would likely be worth more but... we're talking mass produced toys sold on a global market by a giant of a toy company. They look at the market and decide what's most desired and capable of rendering a profit. I'd imagine they're, generally, not all that interested in making very defined, strict collectables.

Some vintage toys only bring wads of cash because, well, they're toys - they were beaten, battered, destroyed and thrown out. So, over time and production cancelations, their numbers went down. Nostalgia plays it's own hand too.

If TT is jerky for that, then Hasbro's a douchenozzle for twenty bazillion Bumblebees.
