D@#N IT HABRO! I just need the shield!

So I just bought a Leader class Sentinel Prime from my Walmart yesterday, last one too, and then while taking the shield out of the two top pegholes by his head, the peg on the back-left side broke off. Just snapped right off. The HASBRO representative I spoke to thinks I'm gonna send the entire figure back, and if there aren't anymore Ledaer class Sentinel's I'll get something else entirely. I DON"T NEED AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT FIGURE HASBRO!!! DAMN!
All I need is a new shield. That's it!

Any ideas as to how I can go about this problem?

Yep, Hasbro's replacement policy sucks.

Can I see a picture of the break, would help to see what we're working with before I offer solutions.

Man, you look pissed!

Now, you could try to use super glue or wait a while and search
http://www.transformerland.com/
for a replacement part.

No good in sending it to Hasbro so that they replace it with a Legends Class Bumblebee.

That's why I'm not sending it back.

Super glue should do the trick.

I'm not sure Superglue alone will be strong enough. Putting a pair of pin in it would be better.

The only way for me to get a 25th anniversary Unicron was through Ebay. 90$ later, I finally have him. Unfortunately, the Kranix Minicon have two right feet! Of course, I cannot return it to my seller. Paywing another 30$ justb to be "refunded" isn't worth it.

So, I contact Hasbro. Of course, they cannot just replace the lone minicon. I have to send back the ENTIRE Unicron. Because this toy is a TrU Exclusive, they can just send me back something else of "equal value". So, 120$ total to get some random **** that will be worth less than 50$.

All of my nope.

I guess I just have to deal with it.

Wow... Is there actually something Hasbro UK do better than Hasbro US?!

Last year, I bought a RTS Wreck-Gar, and when I opened him up, I found he had no axe. I got in touch with Hasbro UK, pointing out I dont want to return the figure, as finding another at a sensible price would be almost impossible. They checked their warehouse for me, opened up another Wreck-Gar, and sent me the axe!

Wow! That is awesome. Shame Hasbro US does most of the work for all transformers.
"Sadly' the shield is not sold separately" she said.

So instead of sending it back to Hasbro my mom (I'm 19 and living w/ my parents, what does that tell you :BANG_HEAD: )checked at the nearest Walmart supercenter and found one, so I'm exchanging it there. Hopefully this one wont break. Also, next paycheck next friday, so hello Jetwing Optimus Prime! Gonna buy it off BBTS.

Problem solved.

forget super glue altogether! I don't know why people keep using that stuff and suggesting it.
Epoxy is the best there is,IMO, to put that peg back on and that should be the end of your problems. You can even get small amounts of the 5 minute stuff at the dollar store.
ONce you mix it together it's the toughest "glue" on the planet for such an application. Just squeeze it out onto a piece of paper. Stir it around till you figure it's thoroughly mixed and take a tooth pic and apply a tiny amount to the broken ends. Don't go outside the broken surfaces. Apply just enough so that you won't get any squeeze out when you press the two halves together for a super clean and almost invisible repair. You don't need to cement the seem after you've bonded the two pieces together either. Just hold them together for a couple minutes and it's permanently bonded.

Trust me. Super easy fix with the right tools.

That port only allows it to mount on the roof in alt mode. In robot mode, when used as a shield, that port is not used, and barely visible. So use some epoxy and glue it back, and never use that port again would be best, since it does not do much anyways. Just keep it. ;)

Actually, it is used.

You can plug it into the Mech Tech port to activate different sounds, plus the peg that sits lower on the shield, will rest in the hole on his forearm. Pop open the cannon and you have his acid rust weapon.

It's not in the instructions, but give it a try and you'll see it's intentional.

Yeah, I knew about that it looks goofy IMO, it's just a shield on my display. ;)
