As much as I like a good nostalgic G2 color scheme, I'm pretty sure I prefer the normal colors. It's a shame Swindle is yellow and not the good hearty orange from g2... Honestly, if they release both color schemes, I'll probably get the original version for Bruticus, then pick up the yellow redeco of Swindle just so he can chill with my g2 Swindle.

...I kind of like the blue version of Blast Off as well now that I'm looking at it. And the G2 color scheme Bruticus has a very...Beast Wars weapon due to how it's colored. Curses xD You're making the decision more and more difficult the longer I look.

I believe the second one is the one we'll be getting from Hasbro, but if history and WFC has taught me anything, the first one will likely be similar to what Takara releases in the United line.

Erm... G2 Swindle is red. Not a red that's in the territory of orange in any way either... straight up primary color orange.

And you own G2 Swindle...?

Besides, neither of those Bruticuses have a G2 color scheme. Technically the second, but the colors of the individual Combaticons are all wrong. There's no white too, and Onslaught is actually closer to his G1 color scheme...

The top one must be going for game accuracy. It matches no other possible color combination.

The bottom version has the same color set as Energon Bruticus Maximus. In fact, the limbs are colored almost the exact same color set....

See?

We will get the crap one. Whichever one we don't want, that's what we'll get.

In all fairness, it's a very reddish-orange, but I'd call it more orange than red. And yup, he was one of my favorite toys when I was a kid. I'm just glad I found him so easily when I was digging stuff out of the basement, both guns and all. I still haven't been able to find Movor's guns though..

And, to clarify, I didn't mean that it looks exactly like G2 Bruticus, only that it's very neon, which makes me think of a G2-esque color scheme. Sorry I wasn't clear enough.

And what exactly is wrong with that? I own virtually every Swindle and all of the Blights too.

I'm getting one Hasbro Swindle and one Takara Swindle. I don't give a toss about the rest really. I may pick them up at retail but I already have Crossfire Bruticus and I'm getting 2 Devastators (well, Giants) this year so it really will be if I can get them all at one and if I can afford it!

The top one is more game-accurate, but Hasbro loves primary colors that appeal to 5-year-olds who won't be buying this anyway.

Nothing's wrong with owning it. You're misunderstanding the context of my question.

I don't see what's wrong with either. I can't wait......first transformers gestalt in a while(unless you count the power core combiners).

I won't buy the bottom one.

G2 Swindle isn't Red. He's more of a dark reddish orange. He's definitely not straight up red.

Swindle is Red, Onslaught is Blue!

Whatever the colours, I'll get this lot. Would prefer it if the colours were nice, mind you, but neither set is spot on for what I'd want. Red Vortex is stupid as hell, but I love the sculpt, so will get it regardless.

The upcoming United releases (the PCC ones) have paint, not stickers. Insinuating TakaraTomy has dropped paint entirely is very much drawing conclusions too soon.

if the pcc repaints are 80 bucks at most places i dont even want to know what a united foc bruticus will cost. honestly though there both a big pass for me although the individual bots may be there saving grace.

...Scavenger is bright traffic-cone orange. o_o; Are you slightly colorblind in the red-orange zone, perhaps? That, or your monitor is screwed up.

There's a VERY noticeable difference in the shade of reddish orange that G2 Swindle is and the shade of normal red which G1 Optimus is. And again, Scavenger is very bright orange, there's no redness in the color.

This argument about red vs red-orange is ridiculous. Don't you guys understand that every camera is going to capture the color differently, every monitor is going to display the color differently, and every pair of eyes it going to register the color differently? It's a stupid and pointless argument.
