Hey guys,

I had a last minute change of plan for this week's article, so instead of the Lucky Draw segment of the "In Their Own Words" series, I've gone a little self-indulgent and started a 2-part Top 10 run down of the best finds I've made since returning to collecting 12 months ago, pitching it as a comparison with what all the contributors have provided over the last 4 weeks.

Clearly it doesn't compare, but hey, it gave me a theme!

I've always enjoyed reading your articles. Half the time it's a "wow, loooook at that!" and the other half I walk away green with envy, and slightly depressed at all the wonderful toys that are out there and not in my cabinets. Nonetheless, another great read, cheers

I had no idea there were so many variants of Transformers toys until I started reading your articles. Great stuff!

Hey mate,

It was a mixture of things. I actually met my now-wife in 2007 immediately after BotCon in NYC and she was living in Iceland. So we started flying back and forth to see each other for about 2 years until she moved here permanently, you can imagine how much that cost! It also coincided with a very difficult transitional period for everyone at my workplace. There wasn't any room for collecting during that time. I also got into Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Gran Turismo 5 in a big big way, national competitions etc
