It looks as though we will have two options when it comes Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Brutiucs giftset. UK fan site
Full Metal Hero is reporting that Amazon will also have an exclusive giftset featuring the Fall of Cybertron Combaticons in their standard vibrant colors. The SDCC exclusive giftset presents the team in a more G1 inspired deco. This set is apparently slated for release in October.

I prefer the more muted SDCC colors.

I'm glad they are giving us a fairly easy way to get all of them. I'd hate to have to buy them in store and not be able to find one. Hopefully the gift sets don't cost too much compared to the individual figures.

I'll get it, if the price is right.

I'm confused. How is this an "exclusive gift set" if it's the same as the standard retail version?

The fact that they are packaged as a giftset I would assume.

Oh, so the regular retail release will be individually-packaged figures?

Yep, as far as I know anyway.

If they're packaging them individually, then I will DEFINITELY get either this giftset or the SDCC one. I have a feeling it won't be easy to walk into a Walmart or TRU and find all five figures in stock, and I don't want to have to hunt all over town or keeping going back to the stores over and over. How much you wanna bet Onslaught will be hard to find? The scalpers will probably swoop into the stores and buy all the Onslaughts so that everyone has to come to them to complete the set.

I actually don't care which version I get because I'm gonna repaint them anyway.

I think they're also slit among the waves.

Well, that pretty much guarantees it'll be nearly impossible to find them all at retail, since most stores will stock too many of the first wave and never stock the final wave at all.

They way it is written up makes it seem like the "bright colors" version of Bruty is exclusive to Amazon. I don't know if that's the case. But I don't want to get my hopes up, since the SDCC one looks way better, and I think the retail ones look like they should have been in my collection in 95 when , in my room, I had blacklight posters of gnomes sleeping under a mushroom, blue hooded grim reapers, and sexy devil lady's. Then and only then, would "disco" bruticus have worked for me.

if we find one being rarer than the others (ignoring obvious Hasbro case-assortment stupidity) I'd say it would be Swindle. He has his own fans outside of folks who like Bruticus or the Combaticons. Probably because he is the one member of the team to have a personality and to have that personality spotlighted in various media.

Actually, no. For the first time, Hasbro heard our cries. All five come in a wave, 1 per, with other single packed FOC figures to round out the 8 figure case.

Which is exactly why I'll be buying a Wave 2 case from BigBad.

i was hoping this was going to be a store exclusive, now with shipping im sure this wont be any cheaper than buying them individually. This should be a walmart exclusive, not only do they stock their exclusives but they price them well too.

Oh really? That's good news I guess. I've pretty much lost interest in these. I'll get them eventually just for the individual modes, but I don't see me displaying them combined.

Yeppers. The one thing Hasbro's doing right out of this horrendous mess.

I'm still going to try and get the SDCC set so I don't have to end up painting them, but I might end up being one of those a-holes who screws someone over because I want the LSU colored Swindle too. I'll at least try and only get him if some other members of the set are already gone. *
*I say "try" because sometimes in end up in Walmart after having a few and am prone to impulses.

WTF. But the individual figures are definitely still getting a release, right?
I wonder if this means they might have a different color scheme, or if this is confirmed to be it. I would love it if they realized the regular release should be less bright, but I doubt it.
I also wonder if it's a possibility that this box set may make it to Canadian TRUs, since that's what happened with Amazon Unicron.
