Optimus Maximus, when is the release date?

Been drooling over pics of this ugly bruiser........anyone know his release date?

No idea, but my best guess would be around the holidays at the end of the year, just based on the size and gimmickiness (is that a word
?) of the toy.
I've been looking forward to it as well because of what a monstrosity it is. I'm certain that I can do something with that toy to make it even cooler, be it modding/paint or something.

Christmas would be appropriate, since his "Base" mode is basically a big robot sitting down. You can put a little Santa costume on him and have other figures sit on his lap and tell him what they want for Christmas.

Does anyone else feel like it reminds them of Cybertron super-mode Optimus Prime? At least in the head and shoulders. I think it looks pretty slick, in a weird way.
I plan to pick it up when it inevitably goes on sale, haha.

Can "Prime" toy get any worse?/ Looks like an erector set for cyberverse crap. Third party will be getting my money again this year.

I'm definitely not criticizing another collector's choice in figures, but I really can't see why anyone would be interested in that figure.

Don't like it? Don't buy it. Some people think that giant exosuits for tiny figures are awesome. I'm one of them. He's basically a modern version of a Baseformer like Metroplex or Trypticon. So yeah, I'm looking forward to this guy's release.

This "ugly thing" just showed up in my neck of the woods TRU...............trouble is, well I'm in a pickle, whether to get this or the Tomy version..........which is ETA on October.
Btw, in the box, he looks awesomely hollow or is it hollow but awesome!

He is pretty hollow, but it seems like the result is a lot of storage space. It's kind of a shame they didn't add some hinged covers or something at least in his arms, to make him look a bit chunkier in robot mode and to hide the seats.

Those hollow parts do distract, so it kind off forces you to buy them cyberverse figs...........very crafty Hasbro.
I've already ordered the Optimus Prime legion figure for him (Tomy ver) but he's still(Tomy ver) not being offered(Optimus Maximus) for sale among my regular online Japanese shops.
RobotKingdom has him on pre order but I'm not sure if they charge in full for a pre order or only when its available (using Paypal). Tried emailing them but still no answer.
