CONCERNING MASTERPIECES

I finally picked up my MP Grimlock I had on layaway yesterday

(thanks to my wife for an early father's day gift) and have to say I am amazed by this toy. It is OUTSTANDING. Probably the best MP I've gotten ahold of so far. This makes me wonder though- we all know MP Sideswipe is coming in the near future. My question is do any of you ever think they will make MP versions of other lines/series i.e. Beast Wars, Animated, Movie-verse, Prime, etc? Or do you think they'll just stick to G1. I'm pretty sure they'll just stick to G1 for the forseeable future but I'm talking years down the road. What do you all think?
Blessings!

Well, the Masterpiece series is nearly a decade old already. So the real question is: will we all die of old age before they get to another series after G1?

Well, they did start two sub-lines, Brave and Movie-verse. Don't know why they stopped the Brave series, but the Movie one was stopped due to a lack of interest and complaints from the fandom because everybody thought it would take up spots for G1 characters.
I would so want a Beast Wars MP line.
And I agree, MP Grimlcok is so far the best, due to so far being the only toy in that line to actually manage to fulfil the line's promise by being an accurate representation of the character in both modes.

I thought the Movie one was canned because they were just repaints: Battle Ops Bumblebee and 2010 Leader Starscream to be exact.

I only have interest in one potential MP character: Galvatron. If they make an MP Galvatron, I'll have MPs of all the main leader characters and then I can move on to other figs to yearn for.
Star Saber/Deathsaurus would be appreciated too

Maybe they will make non-G1 MPs. But I think the G1 MPs are here to stay until either they make an MP VW Beetle Bomblebee(if they're waiting to get through all these copyright & trademark claims to make every main character), or they make an MP Axer(if they're wanting to hit every single G1 Transformer from the first line to Action Masters)
I'm personally hoping for the latter.

Volkswagon doesnt want it's likeness thrown into war-like situations, thats why the Alternators Bumblebee was canned. I actua;;y would have liked to own that one...

I'm well aware of that. But that don't mean that VW won't change their mind eventually. If it takes 50 years or 500, why not? It's not like humankind will stay close-minded forever. Plus, it'll give TakaraTomy enough time to make tons of other G1 MPs.

I was under the impression that the MP Brave line halted because Takara lost the license, or something to that effect? Just a guess, as it seems every other toy company in Japan has made Brave figures since

Unlikely, seeing how Brave was created by Takara.

I dunno the facts, I'm just guessing here! It just seems to me like Takara either doesn't own it anymore, or they don't care. Otherwise why is
Ban-Dai putting out new renditions of Brave characters?

They're part of the Super Robot Chogokin line, which is a line that brings out special toys based on various iconic Japanese series, basically they bought a licence to produce them.

That still confuses me somewhat, I thought Takara and Bandai were competitors over there... w/e. Still doesn't explain why the Brave MP line stopped at Great Exkaiser. Did he not go down well enough or what?

I repeat, I have no idea why the Brave MP line was canned.
Bandai is a competitor, but sometimes competitors do business with each other.
