We noticed something very odd at the local target tonight. (the huber heights Ohio store)

I would say its a mistake but last time the dotm deluxes were already something like 18 bucks. Now they show as 30. Even on the price checker. :-?

i saw that myself recently and thought that was odd
the price increase generally for the DotM seems to be in preparation for some Target clearance sales so they have a higher msrp to mark down from
thought this was one in the same but this might be a different breed completely for price points

There's a thread about this at TFW, and it seems ALL Targets are doing this for whatever reasons (hopefully a glitch; setting up for higher-priced "clearances" would be awfully low of them).

The decimal needs to be moved over to the left one place. Since Hasbro isn't supporting the line any longer, flush them out, get more PRiD on the shelves, and hopefully get ready for the next onslaught of Generations figures (scheduled for August but I feel like late July will get some sightings).

I thought this might have been regarding Trilogy Prime and they stuck the price on some pegs for some reason. :VEHI:

It's gotta be some kind of glitch. It's too weird not to be.

Zellers is owne by Target and some Zellers are closing in Canada to be replaced by Targets.

At Zellers, the RiD Prime figures where ALWAYS 25$+taxes!

Even if at Walmart and TrU, they are 15-17$+taxes.
And Zellers don't put the old TF on clearance, THEY INCREASE THE PRICE.
WTF?
The only reasonably priced TF I ever found there are the PCC two-pacs with minicons at 10$+tax.

Perfect time to return a bunch of unopened TFs without a receipt for a store credit.

stick with walmart. under 8 dollars and chances are you can find them for clearance too.

ross, tj mxx, and marshalls are great places for older and usually cheaper figures.

as for target, i got the dotm supreme optimus prime for under 60 dollars.

I also noticed the price of Prime figs went up at nearby Target. The price went from $12.99 to $15.00. I wonder if this same method of increasing to gain a higher price point for clearance is being employed for the wave 1 Prime figs as well.

I found this happening on Target from time to time, especially on drought time. Reason unknown. To me, it just feels like they have nothing in stock so they don't want to sell them so the shelves won't look like dead empty. :???: Yeh, it's my weird logic.

By the way, I also just saw my local Target restock with a lot of DOTM HA Leadfoot and they are only $9.88 each.

I just checked, it's the same price online. Voyagers are between $22 and $24 though.

im wondering if this has anything to do with the ebay listing of that deluxe topspin/leadfoot 2-pack?
could we possibly see them at some point because otherwise this is a system wide mistake.

Looks like they're begging scammers to go buy them for under $10 from Wally and return them at Target. Probably shouldn't give the scammers any ideas, but most of them probably already thought of it.

Now they're down to $16. Still absurdly high for last year's toys.

Target will price match walmart as long as you have a recent add for them. I'm not sure if your going to find an add for there major discounted TF's but you can match the other stuff with what walmart has.

Target will price match anything Walmart has as long as you have a recent add from Walmart. Your probably not going to find any of the major discounted items in an add, but should be able to match what they advertise there.

Target will price match Walmart if you have a recent add from Walmart and they should honor that. This should help out w/ the current TF prime line. Not sure it will do much for the old DOTM line though. >:oP

It was something up with my connection. Sorry for the multiple posts. It showed the first went through, then after a while it showed it didn't like it was deleted. I apologize. Don't know what happened.

This seems like it must have been a mistake, some sort of computer error or someone hit the wrong key somewhere. But then it reminded me of a couple weeks ago when I noticed my local Target had raised the price of DOTM Voyagers from $19.99 to $26.99, which I thought at the time seemed really odd. They hadn't raised the prices of the newer PrimeRID figures, just the DOTM ones.

Around the same time, TRU jacked up the prices of DOTM Leaders from $44.99 to $47.99. These are figures that have been sitting on the shelves for months with no buyers, and NOW they're raising the price? I don't know who's managing these stores, but they don't seem very bright. Granted, I'm no expert on business, but I know you don't move old, unsold, undesirable merchandise by RAISING the price.

Tell that to Zellers. That's EXACTLY what they do for some odd reasons.
(All prices: add 15% of taxes, in Canadian $)
They sell the Prime RiD figures at 25$.
Generations pegwarmers at 20$.
HftD scouts at 10$.
Orange voyager The Fallen at 40$.
Star Wars X-Overs mega at 30$.

Only the DotM voyagers are reasonably priced at the normal 30$. RiD voyagers (they have just optimus) are 35$.

Yup. Look like someone, somewhere, don'twant to sell any Transformers.

The only sale I ever see them do is "buy one and get the second of same or inferior value at 50% off). When the prices are jacked THAT high, I'm sorry but it is NOT a sale.
