The Seibertron.com galleries for Transformers Prime "Robot in Disquise" Cyberverse Legions Wave 3 are now available. This wave is a bit of a mix, featuring Evac from Universal Studios Hollywood's Transformers: The Ride 3D, Transformers Prime Breakdown, Mirage (a ROTF Legends Sideways Repaint), and Soundwave (a dark repaint of DOTM Legends Soundwave). Full galleries of each can be found below.

"Mirage" and "Soundwave" look totally out of place in this line. They are not TF Prime looking at all.

Still, this will be a great opportunity to finally having Soundwave in car form so I can place it im my EPIC BATTLE.

Cyberverse houses more lines aside from Prime. If you look at their packaging the word "Prime" is missing, effectively making Mirage and Soundwave Movie-verse toys.

Breakdown's shorter than Knock Out, too? That's just wrong. Really should have been Commander.

Soundwave's OK, though there's already a lot of dark colored Decepti-cars already (Barricade, Vehicon, Crowbar).

Mirage... such a shame it's a repaint of Sideways. Legends/Cyberverse is usually better than that.

No interest in Evac now, but that'd probably change if I ever go on the ride.

With Movieverse in the RiD Cyberverse line, I kinda hope some DotM Deluxes sneak in too. Not likely, but still not impossible...

That's because they aren't from the Prime line. They're both movie line toys. The packaging doesn't say Prime anywhere on it, like Evac.

The more I look at Evac the more I want him. They should have done up the deluxe in this lighter blue too, IMO, but the dark blue is Ride-accurate.

It's odd that they did this first by having Movie toys in the "Cyberverse" line in a Transformers Prime case assortment, minus the "Prime" subline designation.

I keep hoping that they'll start to figure out how to do this with the main line of Transformers toys. There were a lot of Animated toys that could have been dumped into the Generations/Universe line ... which would have been appropriate at the time with the 25th anniversary. Slip one or two Animated figures in a case assortment of 8 figures and you can finish up what was on the table back in 2009 in no time.

Now they could do the same with the DOTM toys that didn't make it to retail.

Anyone have any theories on why they won't carry over toys from one series to another? Seems like this would be a no-brainer to capitalize on the existing molds, time, and money spent on each of those products.

I got all four of these.. Mirage since it's the ONLY movie Mirage we're likely to be getting, Soundwave because it's cooler than his regular DOTM Legends, Evac for the novelty factor, and Breakdown in case he's the only Breakdown we get.

All that aside, I have a question about Soundwave that I hope people can answer for me. EVERY movie-verse Soundwave in this line I've seen has a packaging oddity. His bio is almost completely whited out. As in the text looks like it's in white letters, and only the edges of his bio on either side can be barely made out. It fades to nothing in the center, so it looks like there's nothing printed on the box. Is this true of all Soundwaves in this line, or is this an anomaly I should sell on eBay?

With the fans, maybe, but not with the kids (how many times have I said this already? Way too much, I'm sure). Once a major line is over, it's no longer considered "trendy" and thus in danger of largely being ignored. As with all trends, anything that doesn't conform to the new style will be outcast, and given that the Movie-style toys look way different than Prime-style ones it would be a bad idea to chunk older toys in the newer line, when one takes potential profit into account. Then again, neither is oversaturating the market with Bumblebees, but Hasbro doesn't seem to understand that
Repaints of older released toys seem to be exempt, since the money has already been (partially) earned back, so they're easy pickings for a quick buck.
