Transformer collection display case?

I'm wondering if anyone knows a good place to get a glass display case for my collection? I'm using a 6ft tall bookshelf right now, but really want an enclosed display to keep the dust off them. Roughly 75-100 figures ranging in size from steeljaw to optimal optimus. i've seen some for $600 but that's out of my price range.

Ikea. A lot of people use the Detolf glass cases and they are very nice, but they don't hold a lot. I use their Billy bookshelf system with glass doors and shelves. You get a lot for your money and they look great.

I do believe some online Japanese stores like amiami sell such stuff, only for a lot of figures and not just tailor fitted to TFs.

IKEA Detolf glass display cabinet all the way!
It is an excellent piece for displaying your favourite figures in, with its all glass sides and shelves and option for a small light to be added for extra displaying-goodness!
They are easy to put together and set your collection off a real treat! ;)

I agree on the Detolf solution, but it is true they can get a bit crammed!

Check your local papers and shop fitters also. Some of them may have ex-display cabinets for sale cheap. My friend picked up a 6'x 4'x 2' enclosed glass cabinet for $120. Lucky punk.

Thanks for the suggestions, the ikea glass case looks really promising only $65 right now so i may get a couple of those. The light add on is interesting too for that one. The bookshelf i'm using is running out of space and too much dust.

I really can't express how much I like the Billy bookcase setup. Old pics but you'll get the idea:

i like those. i'm trying to find them on the ikea website but don't see any like these. Do they have a specific name. I see the 'billy bookcase' but none that are all glass. These cases are perfect.

You add the doors. It's a modular system and you build them how you like. I believe the all glass doors are $40 a piece. You can also get glass shelves too.

I don't suggest the glass shelves unless your display room is in a basement. Had the glass shelves and it just didn't work because due to floor movement there would always be something falling down and messing up a display.

I've had my set up for four years now on the second floor of the house. I have not yet had a single figure fall over and that includes the cassette bots which have next to nothing to stand on.

I hope to be moving into a new house soon, with room to finally display my collection, and I plan on getting the Ikea Billy bookcases with the glass shelves and doors.

Why would the figures be more prone to falling over on a glass shelf?

I must have a different glass shelf then. Is there a glass billy case? I just have this glass one that is wobbly as heck no matter what I put in there (Gundams, TFs, etc)

Going to have to say I'm really happy with my Billy bookcase setup as well. If anyone's curious, there are pics of my Billy bookcases in my signature link.

If you mount the Billy bookcase to a wall, there's no wobbling. In the Billy system, you can have both glass doors and glass shelves, but if you want something that's entirely glass, then Detolf works very well.

If I ever have a Fort Max, I'd buy a Detolf just for him.

Yeah I have the Detolf, I don't really like it all too much.
