Seibertron.com brings you another in depth set of galleries. This time, Transformers United Windcharger and Wipe-out, make their gallery appearance.

Both come from the highly sought after Reveal The Shield Windcharger mold. Rather difficult to find here, in the States, this figure remains elusive for many. Now, TakaraTomy have released a box set of Windcharger and Wipe-Out. Is it worth your money to import? You can check out our galleries and decide for yourself.

Full galleries of both versions of this rare mold can be found in the links provided below.

We hope you enjoy!

I grabbed this set for myself almost by accident back at the end of 2011-beginning of 2012...I preordered it at BBTS and then forgot I had until they pulled the money out of my account.

Love the set, though; funny, even the illustrations on the box call-back to Wipe-Out's sole weapon being a grease gun, LOL.

For all the not-finding-Windcharger that so many of us did, if you can get this set cheap enough (mine was... I think $40 at my favourite Transformers and Gundam import store) it's a fantastic set. The Windcharger mold its solid, easy to transform, while still looking good in both modes, the flip out guns/magnets are a nice touch, and the Wipe-Out repaint is actually fairly awesome... both figures were a welcome addition to my shelves.

Just discovered the the RTS / United Windcharger's legs compact when in robot mode. The wheel/side of the car can be inserted by pushing it into the core part of his leg, for a more leaner look. Nice touch.

Ryan, which Windcharger is better in your opinion? I am curious if the Takara version of Windcharger has translucent plastic like the Hasbro version.

I was unaware of any translucent plastic on the Hasbro version. Please explain, as I'd previously been told that aside from a rather slight colour difference, and the Hasbro version's rubsign, they were nearly identical. Takara's has none, and if Hasbro's does, I'm gonna have to hunt one down!

Nope, no translucent plastic whatsoever. The solid red plastic does let some light though, but that's it.

As far as Windcharger goes, I think it just comes down to personal preference. Do you want a rubsign or a tampo'ed Autobot symbol?

The rubsign on mine was put on crooked. :(

So there's that to consider too. Most of my RTS have crooked, imperfect rubsigns.

If you poor a little lighter fluid on it, enough so that it starts to get under the rub sign, you should be able to straighten out the rub sign without removing it. I've fixed many rubsigns over the last couple of years by doing this, on both new and vintage figures.

Thanks. I may give it a shot.
