Anyone have him? What do you think of him? The only Soundwave I know is Cassete Soundwave. What does this one do?

Cybertron Soundwave becomes a stealth bomber and his only companion, laserbeak, transforms into a bomb. It's a very good homage to the G1 version.

He's my favorite Cybertron figure. Not only a nice homage to the G1 character, but it proves that Soundwave not being a tape deck or other music device can work.

He's a great figure. But Lazerbeak is just awesome.
Soundwave does get to me with his knees, and those high hooker type boots. But he is a great figure. The missile pods are removable, and can either be placed as guns, shoulder mounted, or even one of them can be stored in his chest in place of Lazerbeak. His Key gimmick, is kind of lame, but since it doesn't take anything away from him. It doesn't bother me.

He's an awesome figure, and I'm a Soundwave collector. Great homage to the original, including Laserbeak. If you're a stickler for detail, try to find the Galaxy Force version, he's got more paint apps.

Got a pic of the GF one? I'd like to compare the 2.

Yep, those are the ones Overcracker posted. Cybertron version is missing the silver on the face, and some paint detailing on the wings, I believe. There may be more differences, I'm not sure. Perhaps the gold chrome on the tailfins?

Yup, the chrome on the tailfins is GF only i beleive. Also Lazorbeak is missing some red paint apps on the cyb version.
I got the GF one over a yeaar before he made it out in the states, and even longer before he made it out in this country (UK). I have no intention of getting the cyb one.

Oh yeah, I forgot that Lazerbeak had differences too.

Cyb Soundwave is a pretty cool figure. It is a bit tricky to transform from robot to jet though, but with patience and practice it is doable.

I am buged by his Pop-Eye condition.
I myself never liked the small biceps/huge forearms & small thighs/huge shins esthetic.

I'd only mildly recommend him. He's a good homage to G1 Soundwave, but his legs are so skinny and have thin joint in the middle of them that really hampers balance. As well, the kibble on the arms can be a bit annoying at times as well.

I'll agree on the kibble, but I've never had balance problems.

Well worth having, particularly for the awesome laserbeak, but be aware of the problems: His legs are not only skinny, they're weak too. He's tricky to get back into his stealth bomber mode. The bombs don't attach under the wings very well. Annoying arm kibble. But if you're a soundwave fan, and dig the birdlike look, then go for it.

He looks good in both modes, transformation is not all that difficult, and he can be a minor bother to pose and keep posed.
For some reason though, I just dont rate him that much, I mean He is not a figure that jumps into my head when I am asked for "best figure" or anything.
