Very nice Mkall!

It is a real shame hearing about the fault folk are finding with their FansProject Springer figures as I really, really wanted to include him in my collection. :-(

Mkall wrote:I really should try and come up with a Mayhem Attack Squad for my Decepticons. It's going to be more difficult as many of their canon members don't have figs yet.

:-?
You know, it is amazing the amount of stories one forgets over the many, many years of Transformers. You mentioning the Decepticon alternative to The Wreckers, the Mayhem Attack Squad, made me Google some info on them (and The Survivors) finding some of the U.K. comic art and more.
They have a great back story and some cool characters to boot! :CON:

Come on then, lets do a list of Neo Classics which could cover the various members!

Spinister ~ BotCon Spinister
Octopunch ~ BotCon Octopunch
Chop Shop ~ FansProject Blockade
Bludgeon ~ RotF Bludgeon

Mayhem Attack Squad UNITE!

I've put Skullgrin in my Mayhem Attack Squad. They are a bit short on members though. I'd love a Classics Carnivac. Inner robot would be fine, although a Beast Wars style alt mode shellformer of sorts with the purple robot mode would be acceptable too.

I use Cybertron Snarl as my Carnivac. The colours match his pretender shell to a T

I always think of Carnivac from the Wolf In The Fold/Survivors storyline, and Cybertron Snarl does have a half-decent alt mode for that, but his bot mode is all sorts of wrong colours and nowhere near as cool as Carnivac should be.

I'd take a green repaint of BW Razorbeast as Snarler though.

I have nearly completed my '80's Wreckers collection now, I just need some brave soul to come up with Rack'n'Ruin.
Image

Mel, you should start a 'Mayhem Attack Squad' thread too!

So far, in terms of Mayhems, I have:

Bludgeon - ROTF Bludgeon with Headrobots 'Blood the dark warrior' upgrade
Image
Octopunch - Botcon 'Shattered Glass' Octopunch (I am waiting for the Shapeways kit to arrive to add the diver helmet and tentacles)
Image
Spinister - Botcon Spinister
Image

Good shout for Carnivac, I doubt we will ever see a decent stand-in for Stranglehold though - maybe a He-Man figure! Who else is there, Catilla, and that Warthog thingy? Can't think of any more.

Lookin' sweet Banjo-tron, very nice choices on the Mayhem Attack Squad too!

I wait patiently for the Ruination set to fill a couple of gaps plus I still have a couple of MISB figures to crack open and add to the line-up! ;)

Damn that Impactor looks good!! not replacing your FP warbot with Gen springer? I think I might have to! but since I can't make an awesome looking Impactor like yours I might have to settle for the ruination Impactor (come on HTS!) and he'll look tiny next to Gen springer. decisions

What about Frostbite, from Universe, for Carnivac? I know that he is a Hyena but he sure looks like a wolf. Looks like the colors were done as a homage as well.

I wonder if Simon Furman gets paid everytime The Wreckers Impactor appears in a story or has a figure produced with his likeness! ;)

From what Roche was saying on Twitter a while back, no. Someone mentioned they might get a free figure, but that was also shot down. He brought the example of McCarthy and Milne with Drift - and they never saw squat.

Sadly.

If it don't transform, I don't buy.

Kind of ironic considering I've only transformed about 2/3rds of my collection at one time or another.

The super deformed one is both cheaper AND it transforms, how about now? (Both are still too much for me, but the SD version is pretty nifty)

hmmm.. How tall is he? the new non-transforming guy I have on pre-order is only 5" I'm really thinking about canceling my pre-order now. too bad I can never paint that guy to look like how he is suppose to.
