A Question About Takara's AM-07 Powerizer Starscream

Does he come with missiles?

Obviously the Takara toy eschews Hasbro's light-up gun thing for an arms micron, but does it also do away with the missiles as well?

Nope, no missles. Just the Arms Micron.

AM-07 isn't a Powerizer.

Thanks for the info, freaky777. Maybe I can try to fit MP Starscream's missiles onto him.

Yeah, well, it's Hasbro's fault for making similar sounding names for their two larger classes.

Powerizer...weaponizer...AFAIC, I still see them as voyager and leader class. >:oP

Technically, he is. However, Powerizer is Hasbro's term, really. Powerizer is a voyager, and that's really all Screamer is. Screw the Revealers, Powerizers, and Weaponizers! Just call them Deluxes, Voyagers, and Leaders and get on with it...

I could be mistaken, but I don't think the Takara Arms Micron figures have the light-up gimmick. (Do they?) That's where "Powerizers" get their name.

That was also my belief.

Also seeing as how there is nothing on the packaging which identifies the figures as such, only in the advertising (e.g. in catalogues and listings).

The Powerizer gimmick resides strictly in the figure's weapon. All 4 powerizers we have so far stick to this.
Which is why Bulkhead gets that obtrusive lump that's supposed to be his mace.

Anyway, AM-07 uses the Powerizer mold, but forgoes the light gimmicks weapon.

The microns so ar have no light up gimmick, and Takara, makes most of the translucent parts opaque. Rendering the gimmicks unusable.

In other words, "Powerizer" refers to the gimmick, not the size class.

Hasbro never officially used "Revealer" and "Powerizer" to refer to their size classes to begin with. It's always been "Deluxe" and "Voyager".

So...he's basically a powerizer class toy but NOT a powerizer in the sense that his weapon doesn't light up?

Sheesh, maybe I should have just called him a fricking voyager.

He IS a Voyager. Powerizer is the name of the gimmick, not the size class.

TFwiki says it best:

"Internally, these figures were referred to by Hasbro as "Powerizers" due to this gimmick, but the official name remains "Voyager Class". "

Thanks for clearing that up. All this while I thought Powerizer was the new name for the voyager class.
