I have been collecting Transformers for 6 years now, and there is one figure I don't have that most collectors have owned for years, and that is any version of the original Masterpiece Optimus Prime figure, whether it be the original Japanese MP01, MP04, the Hasbro releases, or any black repaint. I have been searching for 1 for years, but I cannot find any on any websites lower than £100, which is WAY too much! So if anyone out there has a spare Masterpiece Optimus they're willing to give away, please send a reply on this thread.

Sorry, but 100 pounds (160 USD) isn't too much for this figure, MP-04 retailed for 250ish USD when it first came out. If you can't afford it right now, then be patient. I don't think the prices are going to get any higher anytime soon.

You really think someone might send you one for nothing? It's one of the greatest figures and a collector's item. It's massive with lots of metal. Start saving or give up on it!

Stuff costs money. Deal with it.

I'm looking for a sealed G1 Shockwave. Anyone have an extra lying around they'd be willing to give me? I don't feel like paying eBay prices. I've been collecting for a few years, soooo... I think I'm entitled to it.

So for 6 years you didn't just resolve to save a little bit at a time until you had enough money to purchase this figure? It seems as though you are looking for a TF handout as though it were a neccessity like food or something. Every collector in the community I would argue most likely sees their MP OP as one of the most valued and liked figure in their respective collection. "Come on!" - G.O.B.

i find it odd because 5 years ago the walmarts near me were swimming in mp primes and i picked up one for like 30 dollars us

save up and get the us release is the best advice i can offer you.
even when i get mp 10 i will not be giving up this guy as im sure many others will especially not for free.

I guess if you don't ask, even if it's a ridiculous question, you'll never know if someone might have answered "yes, I'll send you mine right away." my 20th anniversary MP optimus (short stack, battle damaged american release)is a treasured piece in my collection, and I would never give him up, but I know there are collectors who want one version of a character, and it's possible that the MP prime is surplus to them.

KirbyForce1, posts or threads such as your's, are not allowed. You cannot ask people to give you Transformers or other items, for free. We have a buy/sell/trade section, and free doesn't come into the equation. I understand that money is tight for a lot of people, I know it better than anyone, believe me, these types of posts are inappropriate. Please don't do it again, thank you.
