Clear plastic stands for displaying jets?

In the galleries I see jets, and sometimes bots, displayed on a clear plastic stand with a rod that holds the figure "up in the air" so it looks like it's flying.

Where can I get those, preferably as cheaply as possible?
I'm moving into a new house in two weeks and I'll be displaying my entire collection (yay!) in my "man cave" (the basement). I'd like to get like two dozen of those stands, if they're not too expensive.

Great idea!
That will make for a cool display, Seekers flying about in and around other figures dispalyed in funky battle poses!

They would also (possibly) let you display standing figures underneath on the actual stand which maximizes on space! :-?

I would be keen to know of a U.K. based supplier if anyone comes up with anything? ;)

I used the stands by Flightpose.com:

I use them to display all my classics Seekers.

Thanks for the link. Those look nice, but $9/each is a bit much, considering I wanted to get like 10 or 20 of them.

What I think would be IDEAL would be a simple sheet of clear plastic bent into a 3-sided shape with a "floor", one "wall", and a "ceiling", forming a sort of shelf. You could put one figure (jet, copter, flying robot, whatever) on top, and another below.

Collecting doesn't come cheap! There always has to be investment into not just the toys themselves but the shelving and the displays. Honestly the things that me and Dev just listed are the premium - anything less is likely to cheap for it to be effective or have the strength to even support toys.

Agree completely.

I know these add up but they look great, are sturdy, and have many uses so you can reconfigure them differently as you change the look and layout of your collection. Plus, even more basic bits like acrylic display cubes are still pretty expensive. This is one area (as with good shelving) that you definitely get what you pay for.

I too wouldn't mind getting a cheaper deal on anything but when you can't because there's no wide market (or if you buy used from someone) then I'll pay it especially if you get what you pay for! Thanks Blurrz and DevastaTTor for sharing guys, these are on my to buy list! ;)^ :VEHI:

How does one attach a TF to those spikes? I've been thinking about getting some.

Gundam Action base, feat. Henkei Thundercracker  It kinda pegs into the cockpit joint for the seeker mold. It's actually a real good fit.

How about robots? I'd like to do flying kicks etc.! Are they going to be completely incompatible with some figures?

Sadly, yes. Since it's the 4 prongs thing that is built to clip in to a gundam's butt, it will not work with most transformers. :-(

That's what I thought. That's why I've put it off for a few years!
