Question About Reprolabels

I didn't know exactly were to post this, since it gets front paged, even though it's a third party product, isn't it? Anyway, they are a godsend from what I hear and would love to acquire some.

However, I've been holding off, because my earliest memories of applying stickers to toys aren't happy ones, rather, frustrating.

What can be said about Reprolabels quality? Are they simple stickers? Or are they more then that?

Also, if you like the stickers enough, could you glue them on permanently? I hear in the case of Prime Soundwave, and a couple others that the stickers don't like to "stick" in certain places, even if the figure is thoroughly cleaned beforehand.

Id'e like to know about the quality and preparation, how well they stick, what material they are made from, and if they can handle transformation well? I don't want to cover 80% of Knockout just have them peeling off after I pose him a few times, so I want to know what steps I should take to prevent this sort of thing, on all figures in general?

They are just stickers, similar to what one would've gotten with a G1 figure.

If there are problems with applying stickers, then it's an issue with the specific figure - not with the reprolabels product.

To apply them, I use a pair of tweezers to line up where they should go, then use a flat object to apply them. I've not had one come loose in all the years I've been using them.

Well that's good to know. All the years I had Bonecrusher (Yes, just him) his stickers never came off.

Well, talk around the forums is the one that goes on Soundwave's face doesn't like to stay. It's the shape of his head. Was wondering of there was some sort of adhesive or glue to keep it in place a tad bit better if I were to encounter such a problem?

Face stickers just don't stay on in general. The ones I have for my Junkions like to peel as well.

Indeed, they are just stickers. However, some Reprolabel stickers are vinyl. They're something to favor, alright. ;)

Been a customer for quite sometime. Verdict?

Their 1st gen symbols stuck like cement........literally

Noticed that on most if not all label sheet, there's like a faint multiple horizontal lines (maybe the printing process?)

And several label sheets (like that of Cerebros, Devastator and Superion), the silver/aluminum type base label kind of fades.

Different figs application, tend to use different base labels. Double dealer for instance is different from Blurr's and , well most of them anyway.

Stand out labels? I really like that of Sunstreaker, Mirage and Wheeljack.

Well, my first purchase, the one Iv'e been needing for some time now actually, will be for the Twins, the Ice Cream Truck  I assume those hold well? Since they stick to what's primarily a box after all.

I've bought a handfull of movie sheets, and they all attached well, even when you would think "oh ****, this is gonna be bad".. it end's up working out.

as far as I'm concerned, Repolabels bring life back to older, less paint appy toys. I am happy for their existence.

Now if they would just make a True life Space Shuttle sticker sheet for Sky Lnyx.

I disagree with your first sentence. I have yet to get a label sheet from them that feels anything at all like a G1 label sheet. All the sets I've gotten have all been either metallic, transparent or vinyl. Never paper backed. This is a good thing. Paper backing on stickers is the devil when you're shaky and have to reposition them often. I usually use Q-tips to rub them down (to avoid scratching them) and toothpicks to get into corners. My only exception would be the face stickers for the Junkions. Unless I was gonna glue them on, they won't stay for jack. I'm not gluing them on. I agree with all the rest though.

I've been using them for ... well a fair while. I started when they were just sticker sheets and you had to cut them out yourself.

Suffice to say the quality has come a LONG way.

My only problem with Reprolabels stickers is when it comes to thing stickers that have to bend around a curved surface, they just don't stay on - not sticky enough. Other than that they are thick, well printed and well cut.

I almost ordered another batch last night but stopped myself as Im trying to save money!

Reprolabels is the bomb. A stand out set that i purchased a couple years ago is G1 Scourge. I couldn't believe the quality of that sticker set.

I haven't had any troubles with stickers peeling away. All in all....i recommend them if your needing them.

Sometimes they don't stick as well as I'd like them to, especially on curved surfaces, and sometimes the little tiny ones can be a real bugger to apply, but those are really minor complaints and they haven't stopped me from going back and ordering from them over and over again. The figures in my collection that have Reprolabel stickers really stand out and look so much more "complete".
