Hello fellow alien robot lovers!

So I spotted this on the beloved Electronic Bay and wondered if anyone would recommend buying?

Transformers Armada Optimus Prime!

Can you guys offer any help on this figure as to his Class size, articulation, quality control or general awesomeness?

From this websites gallery he looks pretty good but I would like to hear your views.
Do you own him? Is he worth picking up for a fan of modern articulation!

Armada Supercon Optims Prime + Minicon Overrun.

He's a Deluxe size Optimus. And although by today's standards he's not the most articulated, when he was released he had the most articulation.

He's a pretty cool figure of Prime, very much recommended to own, his little Minicon partner turns into a plane and Prime's gun.

I guess his only negative would be his lame Minicon activated punching gimmick, but since its not intrusive in the least, it really doesn't matter.

The figure has been reprinted a few times since. In armada he was repainted into Nemesis Prime, he became Ultra Magnus for the first Universe line. He was done up in red and black for Cybertron, and there was a Costco exclusive I believe as well.

If you can get him for a decent price he is definitely worth it.

Yes, absolutely. As he said, it's a Deluxe size version of Armada Prime, with the plane Mini-Con and no trailer. He is very articulate, very posable. Definitely worth it for about $20-25. Nice little figure, especially if you collect Deluxes. It's superior to his Ultra Class counterpart in transformation and posability. Get it.

Definitely worth it. He shouldn't be too expensive, and he's a great, fun figure with lots of character. Enjoy!

Jump on it! Very fun little guy. If you don't care about the minicon, there's also a TF: Cybertron version with a slightly different color scheme.

I have the Super-Con in two colors, normal and Cybertron, and I love them both. I actually re-purposed the Cybertron one as "Roller", or an alternate remote body for Cybertron Galaxy Force Optimus Prime, who I wanna get. If only that one I saw at C.O.N.S. was complete... But I digress.

As a testament to the popularity of the mold, check out the amount of repaints. ;) Possibly a contender for Best Mold of its Era.

I own the Nemesis version and the regular version (version 1, without the extra yellow detailing) and he's worth owning twice.

I own the Cybertron repaint. He's a great mold.

If you just want a deluxe Prime or collect Primes you can't go wrong. His arms are a little unimpressive but he does have a sweet head joint and a targetmaster minicon. Not the best, not the worst.

Speaking of those arms, the white Ultra Magnus repaint, and to a lesser extent the Cybertron one, has the arm covers switched around. The gap has to face front in the robot mode, pay close attention to that.

Was never overly impressed with this figure. The tires really turn me off in robot mode and the chest is very bleh.

Positive comments overall, thanks folk!

Just missed one on t'Ebay yesterday for around a tenner which seems fairly reasonable?
I gotta be sure he comes with all his bits n bobs, minicon/target master little fella, his smoke stacks/dual blasters and no scratches (so Im a little picky!) for him to make it into my collection! I can live without instructions thanks to YouTube. ;)

I shall pop a search in and see what turns up! :D
