Arms Micron packs found at TRU UK!

Hey peeps.

I saw those blindpacked Arms Microns in Exeter, UK. Last I heard, Hasbro denied they existed.

The assortment consisted of;

Pink Cobra
Black Cobra
Pink Gecko
Black Gecko
Bumblebee
Optimus Prime.

They were priced at £2.99, I think. Pretty lame assortment, though. Did we really need doubles? Huge packets, too, for such tiny toys.

Don't ask for pics - I don't intend on buying them, and the staff at this TRU are a belligerent bunch, and I suspect they'll get funny about me bringing a camera in store.

Do you have a camera phone? They're not suspicious about bringing a phone in there, are they?

Are you kidding? ;) I just got around to buying a regular phone.

Sorry to disappoint. If I had bought them, I would gladly upload some pictures. Heck, if I had £2.99 to waste, I would buy them just for the pic. :D

I do wonder just how popular these will prove to be... Typically, baggie figures tend to sell quite well these days. But I can't see a kid dropping £2.99 on a toy that has a two in three chance of being a crappy snake or lizard.

That's $5.90 SG dollars... If this ever gets here, that price is pretty **** ass. You can buy the Japanese Gashapon ones for like $6 or less at collector stores here.

And, like you said, the assortment is crap. Pass.

I got that entire set from RobotKingdom. I don't know how they're selling them in the UK, but the ones I got each came in a large plastic bubble, like the kind you get out of toy vending machines. I paid $20 USD + Shipping for the whole set.

I've got a bunch of Arms Microns, and the ones in these sets are probably my least favorites. Besides the molds and transformations being less interesting than other AMs, these "bubble-packed" AMs come already assembled and don't have any stickers. For me, assembling them and applying stickers is half the fun of the AMs.

That's exactly how they are sold in Japan, in toy vending machines. I love Gachapons :x

I happen to like them, for their sheer oddity factor. Can't wait until Wave 2 with the turtle and Bulkhead Knuckle is readily available.
I only have Shadow C.L. and Shadow Balo of the "regular" AM's, and I had fun putting them together. Dealing with excess plastic when separated from the trees, not so much. Wish I had more, especially of the clear ones. I may bite the bullet for the latest wave of AMW series sometime soon.

I have those, too, along with the Arcee/sword and Megatron/blaster. The turtle is disappointing. It doesn't have much of a transformation, and I've had trouble finding anything cool to do with the alt mode (shield?). Bulkhead is cool because of, as you put it, the sheer oddity of it. The fact that it transforms from a miniature (but relatively obese) version of Bulkhead himself into a giant Bulkhead fist is just goofy fun. And it's bigger than every other AM I have. It practically filled the entire bubble it came in.

But my favorite AMs are the two that came with Vehicon and Jet Vehicon, and the Scorpion one (AMW10 G).

AMW04 Shell 2 is also really cool, mainly because it's the only AM I have where the weapon mode completely disguises the robot/beast mode.

If they are being released in NA they'll be cheaper. UK gets the shaft.

Wave 1 was weak, but the rest of them are/look like they will be great! Looking forward to domestic release, maybe? :3
