The coronation gear was the only outfit he was in.

As sweet as the anime colour looks on this mold, the 'battle damage' has been seriously overdone, completely ruining an otherwise beautiful figure. Why do they need to put hoorid black marks over the figures?

I don't know its someones fetish at Hasbro to cover all their masterpiece transformers released state side with battle damage or something.. sick!!!
Technically Starscream wore another outfit in the old G-1 cartoon series, and that was of Optimus prime!!

Hate to say it, but the bottom few pictures you have (the ones on the white blanket background) are fan repaints.

You know, I'm glad this is coming out in the US. Especially as a Wal-mart exclusive, all I have to do is wait a few months, the suckers will sit around gathering dust, then be put on clearance for $20, then I can buy one.

I personally quite like the dirty black wash paint app, it makes Screamer look like he's been dodging a fair bit of flak.
Love the crown decal on the side!
So this is a definant Wall Mart exclusive? does any one know if wall mart has online ordering and international shipping? cause they don't have stores in my country and this figure is sittig in my "Must Have" pile at the moment.
I hope a third party manufacturer makes a coronation gear set... like how they make the barrel & stock add ons for MP Megatron.

I dont mind a littel bit of battle damage paint here or there, but not a big black blog running down the back of the jet.

It's not "battle damage" - it's soot and grime from flying through smoke.

It looks good, but who ever applied the decepticon logos on his wings put them on upside down.
I'm happy with my Classics SS. This one looks really great and all, but eh. I heard you have to be REALLY careful transforming him due to his fragile plastic. That isn't for me.

Prime had the right amount of damage (even if I am in the process of removing it). It adds a little bit of wear and tear to him. But this si far too much blackening. And the symetricalness of it doesn't even make it look like damage. Just paint. It's far too much. I notice they painted Archevelle. At least they have done that much.
I am surprised Jusstittoys or whoever made the trailer for Prime and the barrel/stock for Megs haven't made the coronation gear for SS.

Yah, another figure crapped up with some seriously ugly black spraypaint.
I hate how some figures look like they were standing on a busy street during a slushy snowstorm.
Star Wars Snowtroopers, anyone?
LAME.
I do like the funny coronation emblem they slapped on the side. Most humorous.
As for him getting some proper coronation gear, it's going to be a fan-made item, no doubt.

I love the dirt streaks on him. Were it not for most planes being a darker gray, you would see the same soot and grime down the center. Just think folks, that's the same kind of crap you breath in every day, just compacted onto the surface of a fighter jet. BREATH IT IN!

I wonder if the paint can be removed easily with some sort of solvent, it looks like it would work.

maybe not all of them wil be that bad.. in the cases of the storm troopers there were similar issues, and Marvel legends as well...
My question is packaging??
Robot mode VS jet mode, an window boxed vs latch box?? 20th anniversary prime vs Toys r us g-1 reissues..??

If it's an Hasbro release, then I would say the window box thing similair to 20th Prime. Probably in robot mode.
If it's Takara, I would say the exact same box MP 03 came in with the exact same tray insert. Just change the pic on the box to an anime colour.

Well it looks like it was confirmed as a Wal-mart exclusive in a 20th anniversary packaging, so far that is... from hasbro... pics of it in package from the Botcon..Not taken by me though..

Mirrored from:
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthrea ... nextnewestUnfortunately NO signs of coronation gear!!! Maybe Just-it toys will release a coronation accessory like they did with MP- 05 Megatron...here's hoping..
Man does he look 300 Hundred times Better, i can hear his Chris Latta voice Now..."I am Air commander Starscream!!! Mighteist of the Decepticons!!"

WOW! He looks really good. I jumped on the original MP-Screamer because I thought the Anime repaint would end up half-assed like MP-02. This is a FAR better repaint. Now I have to get another MP-03.
Does anyone know if this will make it to Canadian Wal-Marts? I know sometimes exculsives only show up in the States.

I'm curious as to whether it'll show up in the UK, and if it does what store will stock it.
I'm thinking it might be TRU that'll have him over here. Wouldn't be Woolworths, and Argos isn't very likely.
Maybe The Entertainer?

The battle damage on him doesn't stand out as starkly in person as it does in the pictures. I thought it looked very good.
