One of the features of Botcon this year was the Hasbro Tour. 250 lucky attendee’s were loaded up on 2 separate visits to the Hasbro factory. A lot was shown and you can expect a full gallery from Ryan in the upcoming week. One of the things that was talked about however was the future of the 6" Titanium toy line. From what was said there will not be anymore after WWI Prowl and WWI Grimlock. However that could just be no more new molds as several repaints were featured at Botcon. Nothing was said of the 3" Titanium future.
Just a teaser some of the axed Titanium's were WWI Bumblebee (and Cliffjumper head), G1 Arcee, Cosmos and WWI Shockwave. But you'll have to wait for the galleries to see what could have been!

What a crock. I want the rest of my WW TFs, dammit!!! Just when the quality control was getting good, too...

It'd be nice if they do a G1 Arcee. If it was axed for Titanium and I shouldn't hold my breath for Hasbro to resume Classics......frak.

seems the good lines are dissapearing. i really like the 6" tits, especially the wwi ones. kinda neet to have a figure mass produced for a comic series.
oh well.

Great, don't give us the figures we really want, i.e. G1 Arcee!

It seems like a lot of the Titaniums were botched up. Cobra Megatron (or whatever he is called), and Soundwave can't stand up for 2 seconds without either falling over or falling apart, and many of the others seem "wobbly". The best ones were (as far as I know) WWI SS, WWI TC, Scourge, Optimus Prime RiD, The Fallen, WWI Sunstorm. 3 of those are the same mold. WWI UM/Prime seem nice too.
From what I've read, stores are complaining about shelf space. Well, all Hasbro had to do was make the boxes smaller. Easy fix. I can live without BB, and CJ. It would have been nice to have Shockwave though. At least WWI Prowl and Grimlock are coming out. And I think WWI Skywarp too.

It's a real shame if they're canceled. There are some great looking figures there.

Too bad. I liked 6" Ti, even though all except Rodimus Prime sucked.

You see there was some speculation... Thay said they wern't going to use any new molds or exsisting prototypes, but there is a Soundblaster repaint waiting to go, there is also a repaint of Optimal Optimus. So maybe they won't do any new stuff, but will just milk the exsisting the molds with repaints. Skywarp anyone?
I do think they had some problems in the begining but I agree they have found themselves and the molds are quite good. I will miss it.

Let's face it, they don't need this fanbase anymore. They're hatching a new one, and designs with the original esthetics aren't for it.

Seems that Hasbro just LOVES to dangle the ideas of things like Arcee and Cosmos and and at the last minute say, "Sorry, it's all been a total cockup!"

Should not have made the Titaniums piles of junk when they first came out

No more new molds I could understand, but WHY not release finished versions of the prototypes??? If they've already gone to the expense and trouble to....wait...Do prototypes have molds? Or do they serve as the pieces to make the molds? Cause if a figure has been prototyped, but doesn't have a mold, then I could see not wanting to spend the money on new molds. But if the molds are made first, and the first figure out of the mold is the prototype, then I don't understand why, if they've already spend the money and time to make a mold, they wouldn't use it, at least for something. Maybe just HasbroToyShop exclusives, but at least something.

Dammit! Shockwave finally gets a G1-flavored toy for the first time in twenty years, and it gets axed. ARGH!

The latter.
Something made from molds would be classified as a test shot, if I recall that right.

Sure it seems like G1 fans are getting hosed by Hasbro, but look at what G.I.JOE went through compared to what is now happening. I'm pretty sure once 2009 rolls around, all of the G1 nuts will be up to their necks in 25th anniversary stuff.
Pissimg and moaning gets you nowhere. I don't care about the movie toys. I'm saving money.
