Why don't people like it?

He's alot like Classics Galvatron, overly complex, really fiddly, wont stay together perfectly in either mode, etc. I'm able to overlook those flaws personally.

Also, ROTF Rampage. How can anyone dislike any of the ROTF Constructicons? They are all so monstrous and unique. Yeah, they're a few peas short of a pod, and wont combine without superglue, but that doesn't mean they aren't awesome. I see alot of flak concerning the Constructicons, but its always poor little Rampage who gets the most

I love ROTF Rampage and Longhaul. They've been on display on my shelf longer than any other movieverse toy. Monstrous, intimidating, deadly looking; they just scream Decepticon.

I just got myself a Armada Sideswipe.

This TF have so much gimmicks, it gnaw at him like cancer. The robot is just a deformes mess that shout "kill me".

Still, I love it. It's one of the worst TF ever, but he's fun to fiddle with and I love his derpy look.

If you wonder what I'm talking about:

Armada Scavenger/Energon Treadbolt. I dig the "walking" gimmick, the rubber treads, the cockpit for Rollbar...

Also, seconding PRiD Knock Out and Soundwave... Esepcially Soundwave. Dig the character, dig the toy. I like to have Laserbeak perched on his arm.

For me, it's this guy:

Yes I know it's a double whammy in that he's from Beast Machines and that the character was the equivalent of Wheelie in it, but the figure is incredibly well done.

He has excellent articulation, right down to moveable thumbs and the sculpt is spot on, right down to a light up spark chamber. About the only thing this guy doesn't have is his launching energy fangs and were this any other character in any other series, the sculpt would be held in in a much higher regard.

Looking at anothe thread, I think Beast Hunters Shockwave might be one for me. Everyone else, it seems, can't stand his alt mode and doen't like the spinning cannon gimmick. As far as I'm concerned, his alt mode isn't that bad, and the gimmick is actually pretty fun... certianly better than yet another spring-loaded missile.

I just got my Takara BH SS and I think the mold is a great one. Looking at the hot mess that Hasbro gave us one can't be blamed for thinking that it's a POS. The flaws on this mold IMO are few but transformation and the overall paint apps on this mold really makes nothing but enjoyablility.

I highly recommend this as a stand alone figure and NOT as Starscream. I'm thinking on what to call him, a great name for a great TF...'nuff said! :VEHI:

Read it as STARSCREAM from the start because the BH SS mold was mocked to no end on 4chan's /toy/. BH Smokescreen however, was instantly loved so he was ruled out.

No harm done. I've abbreviated a few names assuming everyone will know what I'm talking about ;)

Thinking I should stop that maybe :-?

Arctorro, you need more TF Xover Hulk (tank) for your monkey arms sig.

Yeah, off-topic, but he's a no brainer.

I got a couple of the early SW Xovers and hated them. So completely ignored all Xovers that followed and now wish I'd gotten the Hulk when he was on shelves #-o

If I ever pick him up I'll think about adding him, but my sig has another meaning than any old TF's with monkey arms. It relates to something a particular site member kept saying over and over again in the Genesis thread

ROTF Dirge is one of my favorite Movie toys. IIRC, he got his share of shitstorm before.

Too bad the Xover Hulk Tank is now at an insane price just because of that stupid fad of modding Energon combiners with him.
Good luck finding him at a reasonable price because Hulk is a VERY good Transformers.

Speaking of Star Wars Xovers, I know most are really bad, but "deluxe" Darth Maul surprised me. He god a solid robot mode, a not too complicated transformation, and a perfect and kibble free spaceship mode.

I very quickly stopped looking for Hulk because of the prices :-(

I'm a big SW fan, but as long as the robot modes are SW characters instead of TF's I'm not going to be very interested. TF characters that transform into SW vehicles would be awesome!

To stay on topic :D I know BH Shockwave has taken a lot of flack for it's tank mode, but I really like it myself.

Usually, only a simple head-swap would do the trick.

I dont remember if I already saiod it in this thread, but I REALLY LOVE the Hasbro Weaponiser Bumblebee from TF Prime. Both robot and vehicle mode are good looking and he's fun to transform too. That's one BIG Bee that stand well with my Golden Battle Ops Bee. I will never have the Takara version because it's overpriced for that ridiculous paint job that was completely wasted.
