Wish I had a camera!!

Man I have never done a custom figure before but I was looking over my classics iron hide and thinking how very sad it is that they didnt make him in his classics color scheme. Then it dawned on me that it would be a simple fix. I went out and got some grey paint that would be easily removed if I screwed up and went to work. The result is that I now have a figure that perfectly matches his G1 character! He is easily taken apart with a phillips screw driver so you cas paint the entire part easily and without painting any unwanted parts.
I painted his light blue parts all grey his face his windows etc, then his thighs that were once black, his forearms also which were black and finally his shoulders and sides of his torso.
Perfect iron hide! I will be actively pursuing a way to show you guys as I believe you will be equally impressed with my simple work.
Anyone else have custom ironhide pics to show? Wasnt there a more classics loing ironhide and ratchet slated for release bt a 3rd party?
I was unaware that so many were disappointed with classics hide and ratchet until recently. It realy is easy to fix.
I also did ratchet who was even easier than iron hide. All I hadda do was remove his horns with a screw driver and paint em black. then remove the red paint apps with acetone. I know that last bit was risky and may turn some fans off but it came off easy ant entirely leaving a solid white and red figure just like the toon. I did leave the red on his shoulders to simulate the red of the cross. Going to have to think of how to get a cross on there and he too will look great. will post pics soon hopefully.
see ya!
