Best news of Botcon. Period.

Of course, the worst news was the cancelling of Alts/6" Ti's...

Really? Thats crap. The Alts were the ONLY realline aimed at people over 12yo.

I guess use adults are stuck with the MPs now.

Does that mean the Binaltechs and Kiss lines have died along with the Alts?

I think the new Universe line will be targeted for older fans, sounds like the lines were closed because they weren't selling well. I have to admit finding either were next to impossible in stores around here.

Probably, but Tomy/Takara have always done their own thing. So who knows. Might not see anything new though because it was Hasbro that was doing the licensing. Just a lot of repaints.

I was never really skeptical about Classics continuing. Just never overly hopeful. Foolish to get excited about something that may or may not happen. Though I did say the petitions were stupid. Forget signing your name and impress Hasbro with the cash. Money speaks louder than words alone.

Non licenced atl modes and everything out of scale. Blah. Looks like im out of the TF world again. I'll just stick to the Masterpieces then.

Never had a Sideswipe or Prowl. G1 Galvatron is a brick, and my poor G1 Sunstreaker has seen better days. I would LOVE to get the new Classics ones!!!

The Autobots heavily outnumber the Decepticons in that line, so I hope we get more baddies to even that out a bit. I'm just happy we will be getting more. When are they supposed to be out???

So the continued Classics line will be called "Transformers Universe"?

Awesome! I love them classics... and the thought of a new Galvatron mold? Wow!

I really hope the BB, Arcee, Cosmos & Shockwave Titanium protos appear in this new line.

And Blitzwing, we need a new Blitzwing.

Makes me forget how stupid it was to release the rest of the seekers as stupid convention exclusives. :-x

Now where is the Sparkle Witwicky figure? Or Danny?

Same. I've never seen a classic that would look good in my glass display case. Then when you buy a few of them they would look even worse since their colours and scale just don't work together.

Bah... No point whining, just not gonna buy any of them.

Since when were Transformers ever in scale? Never with the exception of Alternators.

Classcs line is simply meant to be a fun line. They're just toys anyway. Enjoy 'em. If you want scale, stick with model train sets.

This is great news! Classics is definitely my favourite toyline. I can't wait to see what else they've got up their sleeves.

I want a Shockwave and Arcee and Blaster. If they released those, I'm going to rewrite my will to say I must be buried with them.

Not gonna happen for a while, they said that no character from the cartoon will appear in classics at the same time-and (a really kick ass) blitzwing is scheduled for the cartoon-

Same as what is gonna happen to the dinobots

They also said Universe Prowl was a possability and there's a Prowl in Animated. From the sounds of things we're getting the leaders from the 86 movie rather than yet another Prime and Megs though and that gos down in my book as A REALLY GOOD THING.

It says in the article about Hasbros conference thingy,

Reprter Guy wrote:Probably will not do a character in Animated and Classics at the same time.

So it seems unlikely yo me that they would do a blitzwing twice, although G1 prowl and animated prowl are totally different, so that is a possiblity

Yes, a fun line! Exactly!
Alternators and MPs are my serious display pieces whereas the Classics are just fun to play with and pose with no hassle.
I was happy to hear that the new Universe /Classics line won't just be about G1 and G2 either, since there's still a lot of characters that could use a nice upgrade. Hell yes: this has proven to be a good time to get back into Tf's!

As far altnerators go they did't have many more car companys they could liences from considering how the german feel about transformers. Also I think it would be really hard to get the rights for italy sports cars.

You are probably right there. I doubt there would be much interest in a transforming Kia but Ford has a huge range of cars/vans/trucks to pick from. With the movie and all I reckon there would be a few more car manufacturers willing to sign up. Such a shame though, maybe they will start again in a few years.

I thought that they'd said it wasn't just going to be limited to season 1 & 2 characters. I didn't take from that that they'd be putting in anything from the Beast era forwards. As I've noted in a couple of other posts about the new/extended line though its VERY early days, playing a guessing game is fun but we won't know anything for sure until we start to see pictures sometime next year.

The bot modes of the classics are scaled pretty well, they all look right, obviously the seekers alt modes are way out compared to the bots alt modes, but screw it! So long as the seeks look right together (unlike in cybertron) and the bots look cool rolling out, alt modes are secondary to robot modes IMHO
