Hey guys been looking over the rid and fe versions, was wondering if anyone can tell me overall what chars are better? I know fe prime is better than poweriser prime, just wondering bout the rest of them.

It's all personal preference. For me, these are my picks:

FE Optimus over PRiD Optimus
FE Bumblebee over PRiD Bumblebee
FE Bulkhead over PRiD Bulkhead
FE Starscream over PRiD Starscream (although they're two different size classes)
PRiD Arcee over FE Arcee
PRiD Vehicon over FE Vehicon
PRiD Cliffjumper over FE Cliffjumper.
PRiD Megatron over FE Megatron. (again, two different size classes)

Same as PrimeStriker, it's all down to personal preference. Here's my pics:

FE Optimus (Voyager, not Deluxe) (Takara)
FE Bumblebee (Takara)
FE Bulkhead (Takara)
FE Starscream (either Hasbro or Takara as the differences are minimal)
FE Arcee (Takara) but only by a very narrow margin (the 'wings' for her bot mode are better on the FE, but her torso is better on the PRiD mold)
PRiD Vehicon (Hasbro unless you like stickers, then go with Takara)
FE Cliffjumper (Takara)
PRiD Megatron (Hasbro) because of how well he scales with FE Voyager Prime

FE arcee: good sturdy toy, good transformation, good articulation, and good detail, darker blue, and a bit too tall, and has 2 huge arm blades, has some pink
PRiD arcee: lighter color of blue, awesome articulation, more in scale with the other autobots, has an awesome BFG and a more in scale and show accurate arm blade, no pink and good transformation

i have both because i like both for different reasons.

FE starscream: an ok transformation, no stupid transclearent purple plastic on his arms, no powerizer gun, more in scale to voyager megatron and the other cons, awesome articulation, good weapons and very show accurate
PRiD voyager starscream: he is a tall beefy and yet slender starscream, has show accurate missiles, has the stupid transclearent purple plastic, has the stupid powerizer gun, a bit of kibble on his ankles, more expressive and show accurate head sculpt, can pull off a lot of awesome poses and towers over a lot of his comrades

i have both because i love both for different reasons

FE Bumblebee: an annoying transformation, an ok gun, good articulation, weird shoulder joints (they are always slanted backwards), show accurate racing stripes on car, has only one gun and the torso does not want to stay together
PRiD bumblebee: very simple yet satisfying transformation, has 2 guns instead of one, lack of paint, a flap of kibble is behind his head, awesome articulation, and has shoulders are now always angled forwards
have both molds hotshot (a repaint and retool of PRiD bee) and FE bee because i got FE bumblebee because i thought it would be nice but found out that it was a big disappointment but i am now glad i have him because hotshot is different from the FE bee because they are different molds.

FE vehicon: complex and annoying transformation. has a ton of kibble that makes him look like he is wearing a flattened cardboard box on his back, a different shade of black and more detail, a tiny gun, and good articulation
PRiD vehicon: has next to no kibble, awesome articulation, good amount of detail, very interesting transformation, awesome gun thats a good size but not big enough to be over sized, and they are becoming easier to find.

i have the PRiD vehicon 5 times because he is a lot more show accurate, and a combination of never seeing the FE vehicon and me not liking how it looks i never got one but i have seen reviews.

FE Cliffjumper: an awesome shade of red, awesome transformation with little kibble, awesome articulation, arm cannons, very show accurate, beefy, lovely blue light piping, a bit fragile, hard to find and a bit expensive
PRiD cliffjumper: small, no arm cannons instead has a hammer that can double as a gun, back kibble, good articulation, and has awesome blue light piping

i have the FE one because i wanted it way more than the PRiD one because i think its the better of the two with his show accurate arm cannons, he height and lack of kibble.

FE Bulkhead: so much beef, awesome mace weapon, amazing transformation, good height (he towers over the animated voyager bulkhead), amazing articulation and no gimmicky weapons.
PRiD bulkhead: i think he is a bit shorter the the FE one, he does have a moving mouth, good articulation, **** weapons, he is flat, a lot less bulk to him, kinda hollow, and is a lot easier to find.

As a general rule of thumb I prefer the FE molds, with one significant exception: the Vehicon. I have seven PRID Vehicons and only one FE Vehicon, though the fact my Target always seemed to have a Vehicon and I didn't get the FE one until November of last year was probably a significant factor. Now I use my PRIDs as troopers and the FE as Fearstorm, the named Vehicon from one of the Prime comics.

Because there were comparatively few molds released in FE, PRID is a better line as a whole, but some figures, such as Cliffjumper and Starscream, need to be represented by their FE counterparts for a more accurate scale. FE Prime is very close to his show model but a bit too tall, so I put him and Megs on opposite sides of the display and hope no one notices.

In short: you need a little of both. If you had to pick just one, go with PRID, because by sheer numbers and variety it'll win out. And PRID Vehicon is gorgeous.

I agree except that I think FE Cliffjumper is better than the PRiD and I don't have FE Megatron so can't comment or speculate.

Agreed with Mykltron.

As for Megatron, the FE Deluxe is an excellent figure which deals with kibble much better than the Voyager. But PRiD is the Voyager, and scales well with the gloriousness which is FE Optimus Prime.

Agreed with Myk about FE CLiff, and I also prefer FE Arcee over the PRID version.

While the PRID version has her merits, I think FE Arcee is a much better "standalone" toy.

For one, her back kibble is far less obtrusive (it all neatly folds up as a backpack when you tuck the wheel into the niche in her back instead of leaving it sideways as shown in the instructions), and she doesn't use fake kibble (chest is comprised of the 2 sides of her alt mode's actual front cowling). While she's not as screen-accurate as the PRID toy, I find FE Arcee a better looking figure overall.

I'll admit that she's too tall to scale in with the majority of the other toys, although she'd be perfect to pose with PRID voyager Starscream.
