FOC Sky warp?

I distinctly recall hearing that there was a voyager FOC sky warp on the way and thought I saw his picture alternating amongst a slew of others under the toy arena add to the right of the home page.
If this is true when is he to be released and can we expect to see screamer and cracker since theyre simple repaints and they know well soak them up?
Alternatively, since we already have a FOC screamer would it be a safe bet to say its just a matter of time until we see cracker and skywarp made into deluxe figs since theyre simple repaints as well?
There was a FOC skywarp pic on the home page under the toy arena add at one point wasnt there? I watched those pics scroll for ten mins earlier and didnt see it anymore......I hope Im not going insane...

The only fall of Cybertron skywarp that I know of is the Takara TG-18 but it uses the deluxe mold. The is no voyager FoC mold that I am aware of. This is the last news post we had about Skywarp. He is shown with images of voyager Blaster so maybe that's where you got the voyager Skywarp idea from.

You would think that getting all three seekers would be a no brainer but it is not always the case. In the DOTM toyline we only got Starscream and Thundercracker deluxe figures with Skywarp remaining Takara exclusive.

In TFPrime both Skywarp and Thundercracker remain Takara only.

Hey Hasbro........do some more impressing stuff and give us Skywarp and Thundercracker from FOC line too.......please, of course. I mean, i know it seems a bit selfish considering the bombs you dropped in my lap with the Triple Changers, IDW Line, with the other awesome stuff and all, but you know us Fanboys.....we are ademanding bunch of yahoos..........

I would REALLY like to fill my collection's gaping Skywarp gap with this mold, but I'm not willing to pay crazy Takara prices. XD Please Hasbro~?

Ideally I'll have Energon deluxe 'Energon' Starscream (the G1 deco) soon so I can get Classics screamer off my shelf. I just don't dig that mold, luckily I paid basically nothing for it.

When was the last time all 3 seekers were available off the shelf?

This is what I was thinking and the answer is never. Correct?.
Granted I havnt been it the game long, but I still had a hell of a time getting my seeker collection together and as I read up on seeker history I learned that they have always been a bit difficult to procure.
I just figured it to be a no brainer that hasbro would recolor the existing mold and offer all three over the next several months or so.

I think after the TRU commemorative seekers there was the classics, but after that i don' recall any series having all three readily available, molded from the same source. Of course there's G1, but i'm not all too familiar with the others.

All 3 Seekers simultaneously available? In the same wave, it would have be Machine Wars (Imagine that), but for the same toy line, it would have to be Cybertron.

While it's true we've had Thrust, Dirge and Thundercracker in the first Generations line, what helped to sell them (to kids and parents) is their distinctive wings. Were Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp available simultaneously, parents would think it's the same jet thus character, just in three different decos and tell the kids they can only have one. This isn't 1984, anymore.

Yeah Im not to familiar with G-1 either, so Im not sure if they released them all three around the same time or not.
I agree with jelze though about parents thinking seekers may be too similar to buy three same looking toys. I was kind of hoping they would just release one per wave though ya know?
Aslo mr sinnertwin, Could you elaborate on the TRU exclusives? Were they G-1 or a newer classics mold? Also, Were they together, or seperate?
tHIS IS THE FIRST iVE HEARD OF THESE FIGURES AND WISH TO LOOK THEIR PICS UP.
Thanks man! ;)

The TRU Exclusive ones are Hasbro reissues of the G1 toys, part of the "Commemorative Series". They're similar to the originals, but have their missiles lengthened (to 2 inches) and launchers retooled so they comply with current Toy Safety Laws.

The lengthening works for the Null Rays, but for the other missiles, not so much. Thrust and Ramjet never got reissued by Hasbro, since Toys 'R Us stopped carrying the line.

Oh so they were G-1? That explains why I didnt know about them.

On another note I was able to finally procure starscream last night and am blown away by this figure! The only complaint I have is that I wish his null rays attached a bit higher up on his shoulder,But Im kinda getting used to them sitting on his forearms.
He looks great with the rest of the FOC and WFC figures. Most importantly though, He isnt small! He is regular deluxe size which rocks!
I wish all the FOC figures were the size of screamer. Some of the FOC bots dont even fit in with the WFC line and I would have thought it a no brainer that hasbro would try and keep those two lines consistant.
But yeah. Props to hasbro for the FOC screamer! A1! Now I must have
T. cracker and Sky warp. I looked for sky warp on ebay but no dice. Is that the only method I can use to procure him?
What do you guys think about that mold? Are you as impressed with it as I am?

FOC Skywarp hasn't been released yet and for now is a TakaraTomy-only item, so expect to pay a premium. We haven't heard about a Thundercracker yet, but who knows?

Hasbro usually does do Thundercracker...and neglects Skywarp. :BANG_HEAD:

If Hasbro was going to make a Voyager-class FoC Seeker, it would most likely be Starscream. Then, MAYBE a Skywarp repaint would follow, although I would be surprised.

When was the last time Hasbro gave us a Skywarp figure? Classics? Walmart MP?

Pretty sure when Tak made the Encore 2-pack of Skywarp and T-cracker, that was on the shelf at the same time as Encore Screamer. Not in the US however, so not sure it counts.

I think you're right. Man that was a long time ago. I remember thinking that when the third movie came out, we'd get that Voyager repainted as Thrust and Dirge to round out the group. I soon added that to my list of disappointments related to the live action movies.

Oh o.k. That is when he finally becomes available you mean.
So those sights even sell exclusives from over seas and such? I wasnt aware of that. I suppose they will tack on a mark up. I will pay 50 bucks for a sky warpo of that mold I guess. I LOVE THAT MOLD!!! Im truly impressed!!
Was I the only one who thought the movie seeker design was just awful? I mean starscream was just down right ugly!
It stank for me because screamer is one of my favs.
The alt plane mode was nice though at least. Those raptors are awesome. Those things are fearsome on the battle field....er battle....air...

I've always generally liked the Raptor movie SS design. Not a fan of the stupid frat boy tribal tatoos, and I know all about the comic, but I still think that tats are dumb. It is a cool airplane design though.

If you mean figures in general, the most recent to date would be Bot Shots Skywarp. Transformable figures? Still technically Bot Shots. Articulated transformable figures? That'd be way back during ROTF. Although both Animated Skywarp and ROTF Skywarp were officially released in the same year, if I recall correctly the earlier sightings out of the two go to the Animated figure.

LOL!! I know right? Like what was the deal with that? Were they saying that screamer was tough and edgy, so he went to the local cybertronian tattoo charlie bots to get tatted up?
I guess that design works better on the movie but I just cant seem to like it.

Was that animated skywarp an exclusive or something? He fetches 100 plus dollars on ebay for some reason.

It came from the Reign of Starscream comics. The tats are supposed to be glyphs that were on the surface of the Allspark or somehting along those lines.
Apologies if you knew that, not trying to be a know it all, just trying to be conversational.
I actually like your explaination better.
