I have to say I hope it is the unreleased sea cons but if it is for the new animated show. I hope it is a recreation of protectbots or terrorcons just because I think either one of those would give some intresting possiblity to the upcoming show which is sounding more promising with each thing I read.

Given that we got recoloured E Constructicons with Classics we may see Combaticons in Universe. The original moulds for Onslaught, Brawl and Vortex with the Aerialbot jet for Blastoff and a retooled C Hardtop for Swindle (shares the same transformation as the Constructicon bucket loader so shouldn't be too hard to do) would be nice.

edit- Also new Protectobots are unlikely in Animated given that the core cast of Autobots already has the whole 'emergency response' thing going on.

Why is it that everyone wants a set of retooled energon combiners. Those things sucked the first time around and they haven't got any better. The only reason they did the constructicons that way is because when the orignal classics came out they were just a filler line but now that they are becoming a really line of toys. I have to beleave that they will make the effert to do something better than the retooling of some crappy toys from the energon line.

Wouldn't bother me whether they retooled or designed news ones, as long as I get a Classics Aerialbots set.

Hasbro will do anything to save money, so I expect it'll be an Energon retool set. Hopefully the Aerialbots though, cos I so badly want to finish that combiner.

I was thinking the same thing for the combaticons as a kitbash-dammit i hope they dont do that i wanna do it!

Even if they do there's no toy that can't be improved. The colours may be just that little bit off, they'd still come with the silly weapon gimmick instead of propper hands, etc...

Thankfully, G1 gestalt hands fit very nicely into Superion Maximus' arms. Of course the arms need to be rearranged slightly for this to be true, but giving him elbows can only be an improvement in my books.

I think it will be in Classics, due to the fact that the Decepticons are so much larger than the Autobots anyways.

I would like some Classics Stunticons, that actually merge to from Menasor. Now that would be so cool.

But they also had the repainted/retooled RID prime into Hot Spot, makes you wonder whether hey are thinking about producing the Protectobots.

We've had too many Combaticon repaints already as it is. That should be enough for a while. The Aerialbots would not be too bad, if they get Jetstorm to keep it together in combined form. He's just to weak in combined form to handle the weight of the limbs. They would also need to retool the limbs so they look like the different Aerialbots.

Maybe they'll re-issue Predaking, or Piranacon. One can dream can't one???

Classics (G1-)Predacons would probably be a huge hit. Everybody loves Predaking.

They certainly are. I wouldn't mind owning a set of my own.

IF it has to be a retool to "save" money... why don't they just "retool" G1 Superion or G1 Bruticus... heck - I'd prefer a 40 millionth Ruination to the POS that is Energon Bruticus (can't believe I sold my Baldigus and got this chump instead!) ..

But I just don' think that Hasbro would release another lame retool combiner...

I think that Animated will have its' own combiner. And he will finally be cool

If they are making the combiner for the new series I have no doubt it would be the Protectobots. They seem to fit so well into the 'everyday heroes' thing the have going.

All that aside I'm hoping for a re-issue or a modernized combiner for the classics line in new molds.

I was going to suggest abominus or computron, and then I had a thought.
Classics jetfire is pretty much a copy of the design in the "stormbringer" comicbook.
the technobots from that comic would fight in perfectly with the overall asthetic of the classics line.
still, the monetary appeal of a new version of the predacons might be to much for hasbro to hold back.
saving money is one thing, but making a repaint instead of a new mold would be financially stupid.

id say predaking too. people are burnt out on variation upon variation of Bruticus/Ruination mold. a revamped predaking would be the tits.

I'd love it too, but I'd say it's the 8008ies instread!

My first guess would be Predaking, but my second guess would be the Aerialbots. I'd like both sets please.

Stunticons or Protectobots. Thats what I want. Preferably both.

I would like to see the Protectorbots get a little coverage for once. I'd be quite happy to use Energon Superion for Classics if we can get a new Defensor mould. Hot Spot just looks so cool.
