What are people's favourite Shockwave figures? He seems to be a character that HasTak have difficulty representing in a way that fans are happy with. I was always dead disappointed that they cancelled the Titanium line before Shockwave was released because the prototype looked like a perfect update of the G1 figure. The only other one I've seen that I actually really like is the upcoming Beast Hunters voyager figure, but do other people have Shockwaves that they prefer?

I don't have the Beast Hunters version yet so I can't comment on that one, but FoC Shockwave, while small, is pretty badass. I have him and movie Shockwave but FoC is way better.

We'll see how things look when I get Beast Hunters Shockwave in hand, but so far it's FoC for me.

Discounting customs and 3rd party, I'd say Animated Shockwave (Target redeco) is my favorite. I fully expect my answer to change once I have Beast Hunters Shockers.

I never owned a G1 Shockwave sadly, though I did play with a neighbor kid's Shockwave once when I was a kid. Maybe I'll get one someday, but I'd prefer something with less skinny legs (though the FoC toy has pretty much the same problem/proportion issues ).

Alternators Shockblast is my Fav shockwave.

Sadly, that recent 3rd party Masterpiece scale Shockwave is the best so far. Beast Hunters SW is the next best if you ignore the lazy alt mode.

I'd have to say Energon Shockblast.


But titanium Shockwave looked very promising, sad it never made it to retail.

I would say Alternator Shocky but many people said Shockwave shouldn't be a car. Then FOC Shocky but he is way too samll for my taste although the mold is fun.

IMO the 2 best Shockwaves are yet to come, that's the Beat Hunters Shockwave of course and the 3rd party Quakewave that will be resized into Voyager scale sometime in the coming year.

My favourites were FOC shockwave and Alternators Shockwave.

For me, G1 Shockwave is still a damned good toy. For its time, great articulation. Heck, just give it the ability to raise the arms at the shoulders and it would fly for today. Awesome alt mode with lights and sounds, and it's very screen-accurate, too.

I am still in legit wonder how the original design hasn't been updated into a proper Classics-style or MP mold, because it would be SO easy to do.

can't comment on Shocky, but I'm of the same opinion about the G1 Soundwave. If he could bend his knees the correct way, and had maybe a tiny bit more poseability, he'd be fine as a modern figure.

G1. I'd say FOC if he was Voyager size. Though haven't seen it except for pics, BH Shockwave looks promising.

I think Beast Hunters takes the cake, well at least until we get a Masterpiece version.

We already got 3/4 of the Decepticon hierarchy... Just need ol' one-eyed, two-horned, flying, purple, person squisher.

Binaltech for me. A close second is FOC Shockwave. Sadly I do not own a G1 Shockwave, so I can count him in.

I never really got that love for Energon Shockblast... That waistjoint is just... Stupid.

I'm gonna go with Beast Hunters Shockwave. Sure, I don't have him in-hand, but he looks amazing. Honorable mention goes to FoC because he looks cool and is a really fun toy. I sadly don't have the G1, and the Alternators & Energon versions are lacklustre in comparison.
