I was able to get in on Pepsi Prime today, so I'm keeping my fingers cross that it'll go smoothly with Alternators Hot Rod. I don't collect the Alternators line but really really want Hot Rod to go along with my other 2 alts Prowl and Jazz.

SDCC exclusive TFs did not last long last year. I just bit the bullet and pre-ordered some off Ebay. I really want some of them this year especially, and I do not want the disappointment of the HASBRO site crash and unavailability that happened last year.

usually the day after the sdcc is over.. at the end of july.. keep your eyes peeled on this site, and your fingers crossed.. if you have any doubt that you won't hook up through hasbrotoystore.com, i would highly recommend ebay'ing them now, so after the whole shabang is over, you won't pay alot more to get them if you're not able to get them online for the 25 seconds they will be available

Yeah true, because if you think the Ebay prices are high now, just wait until everyone who thought they could get one at hasbrotoyshop.com start buying up anything that is halfway decently priced.
Then you will really be left with scalper prices and basically up $#!^ creek!

I hear ya. I've been awfully tempted to click the buy-it-now on ebay. And I've heard of all the horror stories for Nemesis Prime last year. I'm just hoping that they learned from their mistakes and it'll go more smoothly. Once again, crossing my fingers.

Last year, Nemesis Prime went online the first day of SDCC. Then the fun started...

Yup, I know, I was part of what crashed the server!!!

At least now I can sit back and watch as others try to do it all again...

Man, and to think N. Prime spread like and STD over the Asian Market. I wonder if Hot Rod'll do the same... problem then, of course, being the international shipping on top of the inflated price.

I ended up buying one from the Asian market and one from BBTS, and well, the prices I paid for my pre-orders are quite similar to both of those which is another reason I pulled the trigger on them.

It's too bad the 50+ page thread from that day is gone, I was involved as well. I am just hoping BBTS does pre-orders for it.
