MP-16 Frenzy & Buzzsaw

The Masterpiece line is coming thick and fast this year with this latest entry Frenzy and Buzzsaw! Both repaints of the existing Laserbeak and Rumble each figure is roughly the same size of the original G1 tape. Frenzy transforms into a fully articulated robot with ball joint and hinge elbows along with ball joint hips, ankles and hinge knees plus a neck swivel for head rotation. He also comes with 2 pile drivers which connect snugly on to the arms. His lasers can be stored on the back like the original or be hand held for action time

Buzzsaw is more basic in that he does not really have any articulation apart from a neck hinge but its an awesome condor mode which most importantly has the boosters as an integral part and not separate like the G1 version. Colours are very nice and pop in both tape and condor mode but like Laserbeak he can have some clearance issues when in tape mode, specifically the boosters sitting flush.

Overall another awesome entry in the MP line, they are pricey for the size so we score them 8/10

Always thought Frenzy's blue and silver colour scheme looked better than Rumble's loud red and black. Almost made me wish I got this set instead of the Rumble/Ravage set.

I've been over this already. One is black. One is purple. The Purple one is Diego, and the Black one is Marcel.

All that matters is that soon Buzzsaw will unleash his wrath upon collections worldwide. His terrible, painful, horrifying wrath.

Looking excellent!
I finally had a bit of time this weekend to mess around with MP-15 Rumble and Jaguar/Ravage, and they are so incredibly cool. But while looking at Rumble, he just kind of felt incomplete without Frenzy.

It's dumb, I know, 'cause these two are now molds I already own, and they're hardly going to surprise me, but I just can't wait to have these two in hand as well. Luckily, I got my shipping notice this morning, and they are cheap and small enough to encounter no problems from customs.

Owning all of them, I can honestly say that anyone who passed up on MP-16 as some kind of cheap recolour ploy, will come to regret it.

The figures are amazingly well done and hit all the right notes (one of the pile-driver connections is a little loose and the neck is prone to stress marks being the only 2 niggles with Frenzy).

Some of the best Transformers ever to be made and they well and truly put the FOC discs to shame.

I don't feel much for Buzzsaw, but Rumble (the red one) would be incomplete without his blue and purple twin. Either way, these are seriously marvels of toy engineering. The articulation and reasonable proportions are impressive for their size.
