I just e-bayed some pre-orders...

2 x Transformers Alt Rodimus
1 x Transformers TIT Menasor
2 x GI JOE Pimp Daddy Destro (Gold and Silver in each set)
1 x Star Wars McQuarrie Concept Yoda and Ben Kenobi
2 x Star Wars Stealth Scout Trooper and Speeder Bike

Came to about $400 shipped. With the original prices I saw, these should come to about $150 ish if I were there to buy them. Ouchies...

So anybody else feeling the SDCC exclusive pain? I know how those who did not get to attend Botcon feel, except I cannot even order these... Oh well, they are all worthy exclusives that I will surely enjoy! :grin:

See my thread. I had someone on here that was going to pick up a Roddy for me, the only Alt I don't have, besides Swerve, and no he can't go to SDCC :sad:

Now I have to go the ebay/hasbrotoyshop route.

Last year I got lucky with BBTS on Nemesis Prime. I am hoping Joel is going to open pre-orders on Rodimus soon.

i ebayed this last year and got nemi for @ 55 w/ shipping. which isn't too bad.. i got the same this year from the same seller, so i spent 100 on both figures with shipping. i was highly debating driving to sd for the con just to get these figures, but it would cost more in shipping so i went the old route. i was thinking about crossing my fingers for hasbrotoyshop, but seeing as how fast the pepsi primes, and the tru clearence sale today, i'm glad i didn't. this movie hype has made hard figures even harder.
nonetheless, i'll have both those babies in my hands in less than a month!

Amen to that. Biting the bullet is something we collectors need to be familiar with, it is going to happen at some point or another, and more often than not...

I also bought a pair off of Alt Hot Rods ebay. Maybe I'm just getting tired of this exclusive nonsense and didn't want to mess with the HTS. Still, since he's likely to be among the last of the Alts, I'd like to maintain my complete collection.

Best I recall BBTS wasn't exactly cheap on N. Prime. But after you consider the international shipping the prices balanced back out.

...I wonder if Big Pimpin' Destro will sell out quickly.

I'm not sure, but like Alt Rodimus, I didn't want to take the chance. Too iconic, and too cool of an exclusive not to get one (or two, or four...).

I agree with you, the prices from Asia, and the prices from BBTS were all about the same when all was said and done. Which is why I jumped on some early pre-orders, cause they were a bit less than I paid for either Nemesis Prime last year... :-?

I ordered in Joel's first pre-order last year. I think it was either $29.99 or $34.99, I'm not sure. I know after his first shipment ran out, Joel almost doubled the price of his next shipment.

I bet they won't be any where near that cheap this year. N. Prime was about 50/50 for the Love/Hate Ratio... Roddy will be in far greater demand. I expect 50 bucks easy from BBTS.

I bit the bullet...2 bullets as a matter of fact. Got both for $120 including shipping. Ouch!
