Question for owners of G1 Astrotrain REISSUE

I got the reissue version of G1 Astrotrain - the black and white one - and last night decided to finally apply the labels. The problem is that I seem to be missing the labels that go on the inside surfaces of the tailfin and appear on his chest in robot mode:

There was only one sticker sheet in the box, and those stickers aren't on it. Am I missing a 2nd sticker sheet?

Bonus question: Should I forget about the included stickers and just get the Reprolabels set instead? They were made for the original version, but I think they'd look just as good on the reissue.

The stickers in question were supposed to be factory applied as Astro only had one sheet IIRC.
$7 @ Reprolabels weren't they? I say go for it

So do you think I got a mistake that slipped past QC?

Yeah, $7. It's probably worth it. He looks pretty lame with no color on his chest shield thingy.

Looks that way, bud. Ive seen a few instances of him missing his labels.
Have you considered leaving his fin tucked in as opposed to open? Thats how i display mine.

I tried that; it's not bad! In fact, without the fins in the way, you can see his little baby arms now!

Optibotimus at 9:30 doesn't have those stickers either so maybe they just weren't included on this release.

Have you had issues with his legs? Mine won't stay extended unless i manipulate them, even then they randomly collapse inwards. Doesn't happen on my '85 Astro.

Yes, actually, I have had some issues with the legs, but not what you described. One leg doesn't want to extend the whole way.

After playing around with him last night and applying all the stickers, I realized: he looks better in either alt mode (particularly the all-white shuttle mode, which I think looks better than the original G1 version) than he does in robot mode, so I'll probably leave him in alt mode.

The leg problem is a common issue with all releases of this mold. If you don't have the problem now, keep on transforming him ... you will eventually as the inner tabs become worn that keep the legs in place.

I wonder if the difference with the tailfin/chest stickers is if it's the Hasbro version versus the Takara Book Collection version. The one in my gallery is the Takara version. The one in Optibotimus' video is the Hasbro version. Does anyone have a Hasbro version with the tailfin stickers? I haven't opened my Hasbro version yet so I can't say one way or another yet.

Mine is the Hasbro version. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that Hasbro omitted those stickers.

I also have the Hasbro reissue (just got it as a late Christmas gift, so I'm thinking it's the one that was just "released" in the past year with Ultra Magnus in Asia; the box also have a 2012 copyright on it). The sticker set does omit the tail fin stickers. Oddly enough, the instruction set shows a different set of stickers in the 2nd panel, but in the panel for just sticker instructions there are no placement pointers to the fins. Guess it's just a running change.

I got mine from BBTS in December 2012 when they restocked them, and they were listed as "Commemorative Astrotrain (New Version)" - so you might be right.
