Well, I hit the 8:00 show for Transformers last night and LOVED IT! After Seeing it, it made me think Leader megs doesn't make want me want to

as much. Does any one agree, disagree? Let me know.

I'll agree on the movie design, it's pretty cool. It is supposed to be a Cybertronian design, after all.
But the toy still looks like crap, unfortunately. The only thing that could save it is that custom paint job we've seen.

I don't own Megs but I thought you guys who owned him would be even more disappointed with the figure after watching his contrastingly epic debut on the silver screen.

I grabbed him from Wal Mart AFTER I seen the movie. It was an impulse buy.

After seeing the movie, I went ahead and opened the toy up and I have to say, he is pretty neat, despite the head showing, but Starscream is the same way.

I said to my gf on the ride home "you know I'm buying that Megatron now, right?" All she wanted to know is why that motorcycle Marine-1 (blanking on his name) grabbed didn't turn get "Allsparked" into Arcee.

Well that's because
the Allspark only creates psychotic killing machine robots.

By the way the marine was Josh Duhamel's character, but his stinkin' name escapes me too. He yells a lot, but we don't hear his name much.
The Leader Megs is my least favorite. I don't see that changing.
Allspark seem a little limited to anyone else based on the description by Prime at the beginning???

Who'd want that back???

yeah I thought that part of the plot just kinda flaked out halfway though.

If Hasbro would colour him properly, give him a moveable head and take off those stupid clunky things that hang off his arms, he wouldn't be so bad.
As it stands now though, he is very much "so bad".

I haven't had time to watch the movie yet and haven't read any spoilers. However, assuming that Megs is alive at the end of the movie, I look forward to seeing wat he looks like in TF 2. I'm assuming he will take on a suitable disguise to belnd in on this planet.
Like a big ass tank!! I never pay attention when I see one of those rolling through my backyard.

Actually I like the toy even less because of seeing the nice shiny, non ice blue Megatron in the film.
The alt mode doesnt look as dopey in the film version either.

I blame Prime for Megs' crappiness. Seems like they used all their time and resources on Prime, and Megs was pretty much left as a friday job.
But I still want to get him

That is what pisses me off. The attention on both flagship toys should be equal. I mean, Megatron didn't get shat on in the Cybertron series. At least he was similar in play value to Prime then. Now what?
In many ways Megatron needed more attention than Prime this time round cuz they needed to coax the fans over to enjoy the new design. all you need is veterans to design the Prime figure and it's sweet.

I don't think even watching the movie raised my appreciation of the leader Megs figure, however to have a movie Megatron to display along with all my other movie decepticons I did just pick up the voyager class one... it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would.

Hasbro did slip up a fair bit in this respect with these movie toys.
