BH Starscream won't stand up! Updated, UK/EU BH line is a QC mess

The feet on my Beast Hunters Starscream are so floppy and loose that he can't stand up. The ankle is held together with a pin, so it's not an easy fix to tighten.
Anyone else had this problem? As I don't want to return him just to get another one with loose feet.

That's entirely fixable with clear nail polish/future floors. :) Check out MisterFanWank's video.

He shows off a good method for fixing that very kind of joint around 3:00.

Edit: I goofed, try around 6:30 for when he starts work on the backpack joints.

Cheers for the vid. Swapped him at TRU for another this morning on my way to work. Haven't opened him yet to check that this one is fine or not.
The guy at TRU said if the replacement has a problem as well that its no bother to bring SS back until I find one I'm happy with.

Some looseness in that joint seems to be endemic to the mold, from reviews I've seen, but then yours might just have been unusually loose. Best of luck!

The second one suffers the same problem. He can't stand at all, no matter what way I pose him.
I watched one vid on him ages ago (only just getting these guys at retail in the UK) and his ankles where dead on.

Can you remember which reviewers mention it?

Peaugh and Baltmatrix for sure, and I would imagine Mitchsantona mentioned it as well.

I watched a whole pile of vids including those you mentioned, but none of the ones shown are anywhere near as bad as mine.
Mine is on a EU card, would mould degradation have set in already? Assuming that the US gets the earlier stock (nice fresh molds), and by the time they are producing the same toys for other markets (UK, EU) would degradation have started to set in?

QC has been pretty bad lately, so it's possible.

Bought BH Soundwave (UK/EU carded) who again is a floppy mess. His brown shoulders won't stay in place, also where the pin goes through the black joint and the blue upper arm is really lose.
And lastly the neck joint with the spring. The tab can't hold the force of the spring, so he's forever shoe gazing.
Paint apps are a mess, especially around his eyes and head crest.

I think I'm done with this line already, 3 crappy QC ridden figures in a row :BANG_HEAD:

Edit: bought WheelJack at the same time as SoundWave, just opened him and yet again he's a floppy mess. Can't pose the gold or red bits on his back at all, everything just flops. The front of the car/shins are lose at the pin and friction joint. I've 3 versions of this mold (Rid:WJ, Deadend and AM Wildrider) and none of them have any of the shin problems. So that's 4 crappy figures now :(

I can't speak for the BH 'cons, but Wheeljack and Smokescreen are fantastic.

I'm not saying that they are bad looking figures, just the QC on every single one I've bought so far has been well below even Hasbros terrible standards.

I am saying at least some of them are bad looking figures.

As for QC though, I've not got (or even seen) any BH in my neck of the woods yet. Got BH Ratchet from Kapow, but it says Hasbro Australia on the packaging, which is all in english, so I don't think it's UK/EU stock. He's fine though.
