I'm digging Tigertrack.

There's definitely a special place on my shelf for all the black & yellow variant MPs:

-Black Prime
-Black Rodimus
-Sunstorm
-Tigertrack

Not to mention the inevitable Soundblaster repaint, which will probably come sooner rather than later given the rate of mold utilization we've been seeing since they decided to actually take the line seriously.

I dig this but really hate MP figures that require you to stick the faction stickers on them. Wish it came with the Autobot logo already placed on the hood.

If the symbol were on the hood, the Diaclone appeal would be that much less, and, I suspect, so would sales prospects.

Look on the bright side - you may have to affix the logo yourself, but at least here we have the option of size. Lambor's logo, though conveniently placed, is HUGE in comparison.

Diaclone aside (which is why I want him :D) I actually wonder if the complaints of Sideswipe's insignia being too big could be another reason for the included stickers, otherwise why not just include one, and not 2 different sized ones?

And I'd be one of those people ;)

Looking at him though...I can't help feel he has one problem Sideswipe also has. He just feels like he's missing detail up-top. Maybe if the area around the neck (which has some nice sculpted lines) was painted in a darker colour, he'd just pop more. :-?

Yeah, I forgot about the Diaclone angle.

Black and white box? Kind of disappointing, unless there is a camera lighting thing going on and it's really yellow.

All the other repaints have had colorful printed boxes. Why suddenly change that?

I think it homages the box for the original G1 Tigertrack exclusive figure in some way. Somebody else here can probably explain it better though. But this one is definitely monochrome sadly.

I also like the fact that I have the option of putting the insignia wherever I want to make him a little more different from Sideswipe. Like on the shoulder perhaps.

The original Tigertrack was a mail-away for Figure King magazine, and came in a single-color box like most figures of that nature.

Yes, the box was a white background with yellow/orange artwork, correct?

Exactly :) Other G1 Mailaways like Ratchet and the Omnibots were done the same way (with a different color of course).
