Bot Shots

Are they going to cancel these toys? The reason why I believe this is so is because I have all three big box stores locally, Meijer, Walmart, and Target appear to be closing them out. Not all, but most. Meijer is cloing out all the launchers and the three packs, which is a bummer because we have yet to see Warpath launcher or the 2nd wave of 3 packs with Kup, Blitzwing, etc. Target is doing the same in addition to closing out the 5 packs. Walmart has no bot shots at all, except a few singles that have closeout tags on them. Are these going the way of the robot heroes figures?

Have they still been selling as well as they were?

I don't know, but appariently not at my local big boxes, because they are closing them out. I would assume with lack of support from Target or Walmart, these will fade away at year end. TRU is the only store I know of that is actively carrying them, but they take forever to close out stuff anyhow. Anyone else have any thoughts?

I would not mourn it. I like 'em enough, but since I only really collect the seekers, it would be nice if the collecting of Decepticon jets for once be manageable.

Empty shelves = Sold out, but still awaiting new stock
Empty shelves + reduced shelf space + clearance prices = reason to PANIC!

Just got back from my local Target. All the Bot Shots have red clearance price stickers. I didn't notice the price, but a red price tag at Target usually means a substantial markdown. I want to say that the 3-packs were $6.50, but I'm not sure.

Bot Shots are still full price at TRU, but that doesn't mean anything. My local TRU still has DOTM PREVIEW Cyberverse OP (the one that came with 3D glasses) and only just recently marked them down from $9.99 to $7.99!

I pray to Glob they cancel this line soon, because most retailers are devoting 50% or more of their TF shelf space to them.

Hey, don't say that! My 4 year old loves these and will be really bummed when i tell him this. Remember, at the core this is a childrens toy. I for one will be sad to see them go. They reminded me of the Battle Beasts back in the day.
My local Traget did not appear to have closed out the singles. Those are still non clearance at Meijer too, so hopefully they will at least keep those until the inevitable cancellation. Hasbro still has some unreleased figures in the works via their website, but if the BB stores are closing them out, that menas it is a matter of time before Hasbro stops production.

I was getting bored with them, anyway. They kept giving us the same characters over and over towards the end of the line.

Which usually spells the end.

Don't really know about this line. My son (age 6) doesn't care about them too much either (or if it's because his dad doesn't care about this line). However, a friend of mine, they have two sons and I can say they pretty much have at least 85% of the entire Bot Shots line by the amount of them when I saw. So I would say it is still popular at some point.
