Mods, please move this to the appropriate section if needed.

So, was browsing reddit when I came across this.

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:106595

Someone designed a CAD for an actual transforming TARDIS/Optimus.

Looks great. Might have to try getting this printed myself...

And queue the black Nemesis / Valleyard repaints...

:D

Looks like crap to me. It's like a TF wannabe from the 80s.

Ah well, the only novelty in it is the transforming tardis.

Even the designer admitted it could not bear its own weight.

now this would be a great idea for a 3rd party to invest in and manufacture.

Excellent suggestion; i had read those pages on a random wiki search a ways back but had filed that away as a never happen.
Great use of preexisting fiction with a doable concept.

Who's gonna step up to the plate on this one?!
Bare minimum a Shapeways kit would be interesting.

Working on it. Making the design smaller, more durable, and easier to build. I should have a storefront up with a kit in a few weeks.

Sounds great; looking forward to seeing some links with some pictures once you get it up and running.
