MP-10
Henkei Voyager Optimus Prime
Takara FE Prime
United WfC Prime
Takara FoC Prime

As for 'why all the Classics deluxe Prime hate?', it depends on who you ask. Many like the mold just fine, but I hate it because it's cheap, feels and looks like a KO, looks like crap in both modes, has a lame gimmick that by itself practically ruins the figure, and his head sculpt looks like some kind of weird monkey. I've got 2 versions of this mold (the regular one and the clear ehobby version, the second of which I only got because it came with the clear Rodimus/Hot Rod in the Sons of Cybertron set) and I've harvested both of them for parts for kitbashes with their remaining bits sitting in my misc. parts bin.

No particular order

MP 10
THS 02
TFA Voyager
ROTF Leader mold (any version really)
Classics Voyager
Honorable mention MO 01

But damn, this is a tough list to make, there have been many great Prime's over the past decade.

Unlike some other I do have an order:

1) Cybertron Optimus Prime / Galaxy Force GC-01 Galaxy Convoy
2) Henkei C-01 Convoy
3) Armada Super-Con Optimus Prime
4) Reveal the Shield Optimus Prime
5) Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime

I don't own that many, so in terms of what I have, my preferences are:

- First Edition Transformers Prime Voyager Optimus Prime.
- Revenge of the Fallen Leader/Voyager Optimus Prime.
- Generations Deluxe Cybertronian Optimus Prime.
- Reveal the Shield Deluxe Optimus Prime (G2 Laser Prime).

And seen from afar, MP10.

For those wondering I do own the Prime FE Voyager mold, as the clear plastic Shining Optimus Prime. Because of that clear plastic I'm scared as hell to play with it. :-$

Buster Prime and the 1st edition Prime are great picks for me.

And then there's the Cybertron Prime which I really want (supposed Asian Exclusive due soon).

Hmmm, kind of difficult with so many Optimus Prime's out there I like.

Lets get a few things out of the way first. THS-02 has too many issues to be in the top 5. I mean he's a good Convoy don't get me wrong, he just doesn't warrant a top 5 spot, maybe top 10. But not top 5.

I'm going to count a few repaints that were released within the 10 year mark because there just somew that warrant mention.

Bandwidth warning: Pictures from Ryan's awesome Galleries coming up.

So here are my top 5 in no particular order:

1. Powerlinx Armada Optimus Prime

2. Dark of the Moon Striker Optimus Prime

That's just pure awesomesauce.

3. MP-01 Convoy. Like a certain X-Man: still the best there is at what he does in the MP line.

4. Cybertron Optimus Prime

5. Black Optimus Prime (Classics/Henkei Mold)
The Black makes everything better. And that mold is already one of the best out there in Voyager scale.

Honorale Mention goes to:

Energon Optimus Prime ***ducks for cover***

Hey what can I tell you, I like the guy, his combination with Wingsaber is fantastic. And he's always been my favorite since I got him. Richer Paint and Chrome in the Superlink Grand Convoy Version do not hurt either.

To answer the other question:

Alex Jones wrote: And why the hate against Classic Deluxe Optimus Prime?

2 reasons.

1. Truck mode is really bad. I mean There's lazy truck modes, and then there's this:
Image

The Waist joint is too loose to support the fully extended legs, and the fact the legs don't collapse into themselves is a major downside.

2. This one is a misconception, but its still a reason many people hate him. He's got an attack gimmick, where you press a black tab on his back, and his upper torso spins. Pointless to say the least, but most people think the gimmick could not be locked, leaving his upper torso to spin around freely. That is not the case, it can be locked by pullng back on the black tab. The torso then acquires a ratchet joint that lets you position it. It still has a little bit of give in any position, but its nowhere near flopping around.

Other than that, he's a decent toy in Robot mode, with good articulation.

Yes, this exactly. I bought him because the two pack was on sale and I liked the look of Megatron. I immediately regretted it. I quickly mailed him to my nephew hoping to never see the toy again.

I don't own MP 10 but from pictures I would say that he is the best. Out of the ones that I do own the following are awesome and excellent:

Classics Vovager Optimus Prime
RTS G2 Deluxe Optimus Prime
Cybertron/Galaxy Force Leader Class Optimus Prime
