Posted: Tue Jul 03, 2007 9:34 pmi saw that in the photo section his hook and "extender" stand were both chrome or chrome looking. mine are both grey plastic. other than that it stands up to the pictures.

Check for the copyright/trademark stamp...
I'm not sure if the HASBRO re-issues were a little different than the G1 vintage in the areas you mention, but it is likely, as not tha they made that little asthetic change.

Thats what mine says and I've had it for 2 decades. However, mine is chromed out.

A friend of mine has the original with the chrome painted hook and support pole. His Hook has flaked off some of the chrome paint, and it is a similar grey underneath too.

My re-issue have a 1980 1982 date stamp. Looks like yours might be a re-issue.

My re-issue have a 1980 1982 date stamp. Looks like yours might be a re-issue.
The date stamp on my re-issue is also is 1980 1982.
