Hi there I have had a slight mishap with the Masterpiece Optimus Prime. Basically one of the wing mirrors snapped whilst I was transforming him so I was wondering if anybody knows of the best glue to use for the job.

It's a really fiddly job as you can appreciate and I don't want any glue to get onto the rest of the toy- I have just standard superglue but it's too runny for this job- any help would be appreciated!

Many thanks!

my recommendation is to find some glue that they user for wargaming; warhammer 40K for example. I've used the Games Workshop glue for the last few years and I've no complaints. Apply with toothpick, apply pressure and wait for about 3 minutes and you're good.

I've also heard that people use Gorilla Glue, I think it's kinda the same thing.

Will give that a go- although I'm a bit rubbish with gluing small parts cus my hands seem to shake like an alcoholic haha! Thanks again and wish me luck!

Try using tweezers to hold the part with if you find it to fiddly to use fingers. Try resting your wrist on something when you are lining up the pieces to be glued if shaky hands are a problem. I actually use my left hand to steady my right when I'm doing fiddly things like this.

My PCC Leadfoot suffered that bicep swivel issue endemic to that mold and I fixed it with Gorilla Glue. You can barely tell his arm snapped in half. Good news? He doesn't need that joint for his altmode. Bad news? He needs it for combined mode! Oh well, I bought him to paint him up in G2 colors and sit him in my neo-G2 section anyway.
